Yes provided the petrol station accepts credit card as payment term.
Majority of petrol station don't want to accept credit card as payment term for TnG or e-pay related transactions.

Can anyone share how to fill up Petrol at the pump for specific amount (using the auto stop mechanism)?

For example, I want to use my CC to fill up only RM40.

Occasionally, I don't fill up full and only need certain amount. Currently, I will do it manually as in control the pump and slowly make it stop at the specific amount but out of 10 times, around 2 or 3 times only I'm able to make it stop exactly where I want.

What are the steps to do it?

So, I finally went to apply for Ikhwan Visa Petronas and Ikhwan Gold Master card for petrol and TouchNGo cashback Hope I can get the cards soon

I will keep this in mind and try again and again. 
I will always preset the amount first before lifting nozzle but it seems there's some other issue like mentioned above.
RM200. Only if you go inside, tell them the amount and swipe at the cashier will deduct whatever amount you fill in.

Whatever you do at the pump, it will deduct RM200.
