Room rental depends on location, this reflects the petrol usage also. For this fresh grad, kinda too high to balance.

Eating 25 per day is abit high. Even your breakfast, lunch and dinner makan McD, also wont reach 25. May need to resort cooking dinner for self.

And insurance, the thing is fresh grad probably coerce by their insurance agent fren to buy insurance, but actually do they need it ? Actually if you just get medical card only and less coverage...it should be enough..since lesser chance for shit to happen when ur still young.

Take LRT save Car Installment of Rm 400 + Rm 150 petrol
You LRT could be Rm 200 only

Dont rent room ... live with parents unless your from outstation then its tougher.
You may need some start up capital from parents until your income stabilize

Insurance although you should buy but if you work then depend on co insurance for the time being

Room Rental - share with more ppl, maybe <RM200 per month
Car installment: buy 1990 cars, no need installment
Phone Bill: Poorfag can always use prepaid <RM30 per month
Eat: If you are fresh grad, eat like a fresh grad then. Should be less than RM500. Of course you can choose to spend RM3000 for food in the future when you earn more.
Insurance:Start buying after increment

See, so easy & flexible.

As employer I would like to advise that if a fresh graduate is having the above issues, try to work harder to
prove to the company that you are valuable to them and ask for company car and company petrol card.
Most company can provide these now but pls expect only viva or axia..but you just save 550..

Try to live with your parent to avoid living alone unless your kampung is really far away. In this case you have to
quickly get a working life partner to get marry. If 2 person is earning monthly salary, 600 rental a month can
be shared...just save 300

Please change all your ringgit into singapore dollar and keep it safely. Ringgit value will fall further until Najib and Umno
is defeated.

The economy is Selangor is really really bad now and expected to even worse in 2017..try to think positive and
move on. Hope you find a good employer that is really scarce now ...

Lastly please do not get sick because medical fees is getting expensive..

Anyone with the following bad habits will have not advancement in any private company :-(better join umno red shirt)

1. Cannot speak or write correct english, repeatedly using wrong grammers when speaking english like just leave, have eat
I never told etc

2. No concern no responsibility and no energy type of worker. You can see a lot of such people in the Umno government.

3. Slow and indecisive or with physical probem type of worker with a lot of excuse not to do anything. If you have wife
or children always sick also will affect you because you will need to take leave to attend to them..

4. Poor interpersonal relationship person. Always badmouth people, set unreasonable target for peer and accusing people
this and that type of people.

If you think you do not have the 1-4 habit above, you are a valuable asset to any company, you need to change you job
immediately..

So bodoh spend so much for car, toll and petrol.
Freshie should know their place.

If married and having kids, having car is a must.
If stay single, car is a burden. Want car so much? Buy 2nd hand. Stop with your ego want to buy new car because car value depreciate each year but you still paying so much on same car compared to 2nd hand value car. For example, go buy 1st generation Myvi compared to brand new latest gen Myvi. Later if you got promoted to better job position and have good salary, can slowly upgrade car.

No wonder gen w,x laugh at gen y and z

The process and the result in any company is equally important. Let me give you a example.

You are a cook and you can finish all your work nicely but in your cooking process you ignore cleanliness because
you have a poor attitude toward cleaning your workplace. Rats are found in your kitchen so although
the boss do not say/care, you still would have no prospect of pay raise or career advancement.

Worst still if the health department one day inspect your kitchen and stop your restaurant from operating 2 weeks then you
may be terminated as a cook..

In my fresh grad years, I took a couple of jobs that require extensive traveling. Weeks to months at a time, only a few days gap in between to come home. Accommodation and meals all company bayar. When back at home, squat at parents' home for a few days tops then out I go again.

Jimat nearly 100%. Only risk (THE RISK) is must manage money well since all expenses while out of country is on claims basis. So if you fucuk-ed up in a foreign country, nahaslah kau.

You got good points there. But my current employer still paying me 2.5k even I worked my ass out. I am fine with no OT, but no Site Allowance, no Outstation allowance. And I am looking for places to jump now. I hope all employers can be as reasonable as you. I know 9 months is not enough to prove my value to company, but seriously consider I already got baby girl, and nanny cost RM 850 even at Kampung Bukit Tinggi here, I really need to jump to make more money. My wife is working and we cannot cover even staying so far from KL. Besides, I daily travel to Kepong for work.

I met lot of gen y who like to rush things out
During my probationary period I rode my bike
For 6 months before I earn enough and bought
my own first car a myvi (which I still keep today)
For 4 years I share a rented apartment with 4 friends
Hence shared those utilities n streamyx fees
We can survive without much income as student
Sure we can survive now with fix income
Again saving enough, we split ways to buy our own houses
Things are tough for 5-6 years but as my position n income grows, it is now easy for me eventually

no car means you save 500 a month.
25 a day to eat is quite high for a fresh grad, my normal lunch is under rm6.50
ditch your insurance, use your company medical card
your rent is also too high for a freshie..

you are living too comfortable a life and then complaining not enuf money (seriously), your expenses can easily be cut a few hundred.

I am accessing this based on a fresh grad who work in klang valley.
I think i have make a fair expenses review here.

Room Rental (include elec, water, internet): RM 600 per month
Car installment: RM 400 per month
Petrol + Parking: RM 150 per month
PTPTN: RM 150 per month
Parent: RM 200 per month
Phone Bill: RM 50 per month
Eat: RM 25 per day * 30 = RM 700
Insurance: RM 100 per month
Additional expenses (entertainment): RM 200 per month

Total: RM 2550 per month

So those who no earn RM 3k per month how u survive? Mind share

The logical thing is that companies should adjust for inflation...out fresh grad salary is same as 1998 but the companies make more money nowadays due to increase consumer base based on sales figures

But companies here just ignore coz they know we are stupid and eventually will blame gov for it

The most stupid decision a fresh grad can make is getting a car loan straight away after grad..

And eating outside everyday too.

It's amazing how the 80s and 70s fresh grads can live without iPhone. Bet those grads don't use emails and never step a foot in hipster cafe either.

People borned in 1970s were already using the Internet and of course email when in college. Internet was already very common in schools in early 1990s.

Eat is expensive. Like nasi kukus ilham in kota damansara. Steamed rice served with pineapple and onions, three types of of gulai (gulai ikan, gulai darat and kuah kerutup daging), ikan bilis and a piece of freshly fried chicken is RM 6.70 only. RM25 can have 3 servings of those where 1 serving is enough to last the whole day. So RM25 is definitely too much for fresh grad.

Eat out for lunch and incorporate eat at home for breakfast and dinner (sandwhiches, sausages, occasional instant noodle)..

You can cut RM700 to RM500 easy.

Rental RM600 is also expensive

Like quick survey at Vista Saujana Apartment.. RM390/mo including utilities..place got pool, gym, allowed to cook, near LRT. Can save RM210
http://m.mudah.my/view?q=Chinese&ca=9_1_u&...&ad_id=47604672

Small changes can already save RM400..

Then as get increnment and new better paying job.. life easier.

One fallacy of fresh grad/1st time jobseeker is that they EXPECT EVERYTHING be taken care of immediately .

first job: all expense covered
2nd job: on the way to become millionarire
3rd job: millionaire. retire at 30

One must b realistic. with ALMOST ZERO experience in hand.. just suck up to whatever challenge posed in first job, not just the job requirements , but own lifestyle .... that includes balancing own financial needs (aka: make certain sacrifices like eg. eat frugally or less expenses of leisure).

I dont feel anything wrong with the expenses.

But it only goes wrong if..

Room Rental (include elec, water, internet): RM 600 per month

Petrol + Parking: RM 250 per month (incl cheong trip)

That's a lot for someone who's complaining of insufficient money.

Bfast can be substituted for cereal/toast at home.
Lunch budget RM10 if KL. Other place could be lower.
Dinner eat at home. Chicken breast + Vege + Rice ~RM5.

Savings of additional ~RM300 per month.

You know my comment states "rm25 can eat just OK without resorting to survival style meals" what you're indicating are survival style meals

And bro, the part of town I live in no roti or nasi lemak costs rm1. Actually try not to eat those two everyday, they're extremely unhealthy in the long run and will cause you health problems later in life.

If that's how you eat or manage yourself I'm not sure what kind of life situation or salary you're drawing, but take care

What hypocrite? It is a sad truth that fresh graduate cant plan the budget well.

Beli iphone 7 ok. But petrol price increase not ok. Now thats hypocrite. Many young adults are mostly follow trend "biar papa asal bergaya."
So what if people say you poor or stingy?
People say Mat Rempit or whatever let them lah.
Its not like car have full advantages what. Roadtax, insurance, car loan, toll and car maintenance can takes almost 60% of your salary. You tell me leh. Most freshie are bodoh sombong too. Cant buy cheap local car too. Must take branded import car. When its main use to take you to point A to B. Thats stupid.

No, I take my words back. Please continue do this stupid thing so we can see more freshie grads bankrupt and become unemployed. And see banglas and foreigners take local jobs and become Malaysia citizens.

It is poor management. Breakfast you dont need to eat much because few hours later you will go lunch anyway. Just a few loaves of bread and teh tarik will do. Cost not more than Rm5.
Only lunch and dinner need to eat more. And dinner you dont need to eat outside. Learn to home cook. Cost less than Rm50-70 per week.

*
I will agree though, cooking at home in Malaysia seems to be a lost art.

Now I'm in Germany, preparing food at home for dinner is the norm. You don't usually see crazy lines of people at eateries.

That a fool assumption.
If you working and earn Japanese yen it is affordable, some more a bowl of ramen is big portion compared to our mee/bihun soup.

Most food 300 yen - 800 yen
While Malaysian food assume cost 600 cent(Rm6) to 1500 cent(Rm15)

300yen vs 600cent
direct to direct value, not by conversion rate. Japan beat Malaysia anytime.

Depends on what you call expensive. You can go to McD and get a set from 5 euros (try comparing that with McD in Malaysia where a set ie RM10 plus), and I don't think most grads in Malaysia don't around 2x more compared to the Germans).

You think it's cheaper because you've been adjusting to it your whole life, as the prices increase gradually and it's normal for you to do so. But if you look back to the older generation, most parents/mom used to cook at home for dinner.

If you try asking around people who cook often, you will see that cooking at home for is typically cheaper.

why not buy some fresh meat then cut into slices, fry it with others vege then keep some portion into the fridge. can use the next day ...
unused instant noodle msg can use to fry others dishes , can reduce your usage of seasoning.
yours nugget is lazy/reduce time consuming style lol, basically the cheapest, delicious and time saving courses. haha
boiled seafood and meat can process many type of dish.

Rm15 you eat at Nasi Kandar, mamak and whatever it is.That not even fancy restaurant too. And Malaysia really loves KFC despite the high cost living. Snack Plate easily Rm15 there.

Diner condition got nothing to do with it. Japan typically have small and narrow city area. One ramen diner can only fit 10 people at the same time. But their food is the best. Lunch box food at 200yen(Rm2.00 if direct value). Can get half price cheap when supermarket want to close down.

Its literally cheap everywhere in Japan unlike Malaysia. My place can get Rm1.50 nasi lemak. Quite big portion but too bad only open at night.

why u treat 200 yen as rm2?
like that then Universal studio Osaka ticket costs only rm75 lo?

in JP the cheapest bento in convenience store only cost 300 yen with rice, food pricing wise there isn't that expensive, just like Singapore, the expensive part goes to housing

anothing thing in JP which is expensive is the mobile data plan, even tourist SIM Yasoko 3.5 GB costs rm120, other electronic gadgets are cheaper in general though, where it is easier for tourists to get waived from VAT

some people only think to maximize their profit. They think spacious and comfort will attract most of the client, ended up paying much more for their facalities, this will increase the food price and reduction of quantity.

People keep having misconception living in Japan cost a bomb. Ive travelled there and i can honestly say the expensive part is just getting a place to live. Otherwise their food and facilities are better and much more affordable

Average cost per meal is easily 500-1000¥ which to their salary is like spending RM5-10

The one who said winter clothing cost a bomb, dey so hang every winter buy new clothes issit?

now got soul mate double to expenses? hahaha
why not buy some fresh meat then cut into slices, fry it with others vege then keep some portion into the fridge. can use the next day ...
unused instant noodle msg can use to fry others dishes , can reduce your usage of seasoning.
yours nugget is lazy/reduce time consuming style lol, basically the cheapest, delicious and time saving courses. haha
boiled seafood and meat can process many type of dish.

now ayam still dont have soulmate, good for saving, but.. cry.gif

there was my hard time when I need to cut that nugget into 4 pieces, then each pieces were put into cekodok... we fried it, and try to thinking we eat chicken now lol... we got 8 cekodok, so 4 for me, 4 for my housemate

excluding recycle the 4 days rice, cooking near spoiled chicken, go to any university campus so i can have student price lunch/dinner laugh.gif

*
Dont convert?

Then Msia food more expensive then Singapore, London, NewYork..... Malaysia ke arah high income nation yo!

Knn mistaken snack plate with dinner plate. Oh well, I dont go KFC anyway.

What I trying to say Tokyo while considered as one of expensive city in the world, the food cost is cheaper, the basic food there is affordable.
If they can why cant we too?
You think Japanese food only consist of ramen?
They got katsudon, miso, soba, sushi, sashimi etc.
Their food variety is larger than Malaysia food.

Malaysian every day eat nasi lemak no complaints what? They even miss it when in overseas.

Nope the food cost is expensive, it's just that their currency is very strong that's why it 'appears' to be cheap for raw materials. you cannot just at food price per say. if two people earning 3k in Japan and KL, the one in Japan probably already burn 1-1.5k on rental compared to one in KL and doesn't own a car.

Yes it is quite limited. Our zhap fan alone got at least 20-30 probabilities liao of difference dishes liao. Nobody will say i miss zhap fan in social media laugh.gif

Dude, in my earlier post, I already said the house rental is expensive. But we focus on food here.

Nope, food cost is cheap. I'm basing this based on info I get from various sources, blogs and from people I know there. Like the cost of canned drink cost only 80yen-100yen. For Japanese, their treat that like 50cent drink only. If Malaysia, buy drink from vending machine also stingy lol.

Not just in Japan, Europe mainly have better food than us. In here house price so expensive. Car price also expensive. And food price also expensive. Kek

It's basically Counter-Strike licensed by Valve to different publishers that is F2P and competes with CSGO. The footer did mention that the site is not affiliated with Valve or Nexon and besides, free advertisement for them.

My site doesn't host any files, but directly link visitors to download the client from the publishers'. As the game doesn't have an English localization, it serves as an information hub for those curious or trying to find a truly legit free CS the legal way biggrin.gif

Thanks! Yup, SEO's been an ongoing task as I optimize to get my site ranked higher. Lots of things to take note of to be SEO-friendly, but I don't plan on going hardcore since I might plan to change layouts in the future which could render them pointless. Also, it has appeared on the first page results so I could forego them biggrin.gif

For YT, that's my hobby of interest for 6 years and counting.

Total earning comes from 2 website. Both are related (CSO and CSO2).

The last one is not fully defined yet. Still thinking of a niche, haha

I am accessing this based on a fresh grad who work in klang valley.
I think i have make a fair expenses review here.

Room Rental (include elec, water, internet): RM 600 per month
Car installment: RM 400 per month
Petrol + Parking: RM 150 per month
PTPTN: RM 150 per month
Parent: RM 200 per month
Phone Bill: RM 50 per month
Eat: RM 25 per day * 30 = RM 700
Insurance: RM 100 per month
Additional expenses (entertainment): RM 200 per month

Total: RM 2550 per month

So those who no earn RM 3k per month how u survive? Mind share
*
I am a 36 years old Professional. Currently I work almost 7 days a week. Alternating between corework and part times. I m a big spender. I would like to say. If you want certain lifestyle, U ll have to make sure you got the moolah for it. But these two years.. I realised I m depleting my savings. I can earn up to 12k per month.. But hard to save. So I took a drastic lifestyle change as I have to sustain my parents and siblings. I also got a wife and 3 kiddos. Make sacrifices so they can eat better. I hope you can too. Based on your expenses up there, I reckon u can make some changes.

Scrape:

The Car. I Commute Full time with a Bike these 2 years. Not that I have no cars. I got 3 old cars. Ranging from 34 years old to current Alza. But I hate to be stuck in the traffic daily. My office is right smack in KL and yes.. Being stuck in the traffic daily can be damn stressful. Trust me dude.. You can bypass the car.. Depreciating investment anyway. Get a used bike and commute with it. I dont pay tolls anymore except weekends when I travel with my family in the car. Guess my bike petrol consumption every month? RM36 only. I dont need to pay for parking. This is where you save. Of course the downside is... Riding a bike can be dangerous.. Especially in the city. But you got to ride carefully. Rain.. Now is raining season. Almost everyday I kena hujan. But pakai la baju hujanIf u can, buy a second hand bike cash. Few range u can select from. Take loan, confirmed rugi. GOod luck fresh grads. A car is something you guys can make do without nowadays.
