i has a nobe question..
im now usg TT 760i..
upgrade with 2rad,chipse and VGA waterblock..
the pump was so slow.
can i put 2 pump??
any pump recomended for 3/8tube??
help me plsss..
*
you can put two pumps but really, i dont see much point since the current setup isnt that good to begin with
if i were you, i'd save up for a whole new set, much more worth the money if you ask me smile.gif

well, if you wanna get a pump, depends on your budget smile.gif

get MCP655 .. from modernopc .. if he's still selling ...
it'll last you longer than your pc (assuming you're upgrading)
it's quiet .. if there's not air bubbles ..

there's other DC pumps avaliable .. visit those Solar water heater shops .. the do sell DC pumps .. but not exactly quiet though

do not get thermochill rads .. i had bad experience with them ..

did this mod with mcr220qp.
reduced the time to cooldown to idle from 5-10 mins from heavy stress
to mere seconds

user posted image

ambient temp now dropped a lot.
without this with aircooler and stock elite closing the top hatch of rv01 increased temps by 8-10C

now difference is around 1-2C only

choice of rad was mainly because of the inbuilt res. the the location of the pump and tec block

TEC-PUMP-CPU-RAD-TEC

Decided to take off the coolit Alu.. temps dropped by 3-4C (inside and outside casing)

Also did a push/pull config now so 4 fans on the rad.. temps dropped idle.. 4-5C, load, 7-8C.

HR05 fan.. Tested with a 70mM fan.. difference was only 3C.. decided to take it off. as no point for such low difference.

nice~...

lol... might copy ur cooling system when i got the budget in future...

last time tried custom made TEC + watercooling hybrid... failed due to insufficient waterblocks to contact the TEC( not enough contact area for the liquid and cool side of tec )... dismantle everything d... left wc only setup...

do u think the freezone or eliminator worth to mod... i mean add a radiator for it... mayb gonna try some cheap 2nd hand eliminator or freezone...

read xs on ppl who tried

one thing i know for sure
TEC
two things u cant do and wont work well

1. tec waterblock cooled by radiator for hotside ( cooliti uses tec waterblock with the hotside on a fan heatsink)
2. high flow pump with tec.

why i needed the rad was basically to dump the air buildup in the casing.. and it worked.

oic...

but i think adding radiator to the coolit loop helps... not only dump air...

as i knw tec cool to certain wattage rite, takes freezone, elite and eliminator, their difference are the wattage and number of peltiers rite... correct me if i am wrong...

and take ur system as example, not sure i am correct though, ur loop is TEC-PUMP-CPU-RAD-TEC. means when the liquid inside leave the cpu block the raddy 1st cool down the hot liquid from the cpu block to the certain amount of heat (watts) left... then the tec further cool the liquid down... then the result is the temperature as close as ambient...

actually i built my diy system based on almost identical as ur system also... i attach a TEC to a waterblock, cold side on the waterblock and hot side cooled by air heatsink, then raddy and rest are regular water cooling system. problem is i only used single 90w TEC with cold side attached to single apogee water block which made the TEC unit ineffective...

btw, nice temp u got there... made me hand itchy for shoppings again laugh.gif

no the tec rated wattage are the same

freezone and elite difference is the heatsink and the fan cfm.

elminator is the fan, cfm and missing one tec waterblock.

ah theres onet thing i find a lot of ppl forget about cooling.. thermal equilibrium..
hence this case.. it helps only a bit.. not as much as u and i would like.

for tec setup.. look at swiftech .. and check jakob from evga when he was using a qx9650 with 9800gxw or was is triple gtx280.
his temps was excellent.

but overall ppl in xs favours waterchillers using compressors.

Modded my freezone a lil bit.
Changed WB to Apogee GTZ, add in MCRES v2. no rad cos it's damaged badly, freezone stock pump. distilled water as coolant.
1/4 tubings and fittings.
Current setup: TEC-CPU-PUMP-RES-TEC.
idle 43C, stressed 74C when the freezone block is outside of casing.
damn high idle 53C, load 85C when the block is installed inside casing.
Looking a rad now...
