From my experience comparing my previous E6600 & my present Q6600 G0, teh quaddy is a lot cooler compared to the e6600.
Quite shock with the temperature differences though.
As you all know, i'm always on 400X8 @ 3.2GHz since the first day i'm on my first E6600 ES. laugh.gif

Yes, the Q6600 B3 is hot, a lot hotter than the Q6600 G0. [Tested myself sweat.gif ]

well that all depends whether core temp is right or not..

try with temp sensor..

then only we cal tell.. till then..

ic ic ... seems like most people is shifting into quad core ....

just wonder how good is it compared to E6600 ....

probably sHawTY can help me with the query ...

no difference bro

so far the only difference in gaming i have seen is supreme commander.
the newer games stresses the gpu even more than proc speed.

silly for ppl to buy q6600 so late in the game when penryn is coming.

did this mod with mcr220qp.
reduced the time to cooldown to idle from 5-10 mins from heavy stress
to mere seconds

user posted image

ambient temp now dropped a lot.
without this with aircooler and stock elite closing the top hatch of rv01 increased temps by 8-10C

now difference is around 1-2C only

choice of rad was mainly because of the inbuilt res. the the location of the pump and tec block

hey bro, u place the radiator before or after the liquid flowing through the tec modules of the elite ?

hmmm, looks like dell hybrid cooling system... LOL... TEC + Radiator
*
TEC-PUMP-CPU-RAD-TEC

Decided to take off the coolit Alu.. temps dropped by 3-4C (inside and outside casing)

Also did a push/pull config now so 4 fans on the rad.. temps dropped idle.. 4-5C, load, 7-8C.

HR05 fan.. Tested with a 70mM fan.. difference was only 3C.. decided to take it off. as no point for such low difference.

nice~...

lol... might copy ur cooling system when i got the budget in future...

last time tried custom made TEC + watercooling hybrid... failed due to insufficient waterblocks to contact the TEC( not enough contact area for the liquid and cool side of tec )... dismantle everything d... left wc only setup...

do u think the freezone or eliminator worth to mod... i mean add a radiator for it... mayb gonna try some cheap 2nd hand eliminator or freezone...
*
read xs on ppl who tried

one thing i know for sure
TEC
two things u cant do and wont work well

1. tec waterblock cooled by radiator for hotside ( cooliti uses tec waterblock with the hotside on a fan heatsink)
2. high flow pump with tec.

why i needed the rad was basically to dump the air buildup in the casing.. and it worked.

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Mar 19 2009, 11:51 PM)
oic...

but i think adding radiator to the coolit loop helps... not only dump air...

as i knw tec cool to certain wattage rite, takes freezone, elite and eliminator, their difference are the wattage and number of peltiers rite... correct me if i am wrong...

and take ur system as example, not sure i am correct though, ur loop is TEC-PUMP-CPU-RAD-TEC. means when the liquid inside leave the cpu block the raddy 1st cool down the hot liquid from the cpu block to the certain amount of heat (watts) left... then the tec further cool the liquid down... then the result is the temperature as close as ambient...

actually i built my diy system based on almost identical as ur system also... i attach a TEC to a waterblock, cold side on the waterblock and hot side cooled by air heatsink, then raddy and rest are regular water cooling system. problem is i only used single 90w TEC with cold side attached to single apogee water block which made the TEC unit ineffective...

btw, nice temp u got there... made me hand itchy for shoppings again  laugh.gif
*
no the tec rated wattage are the same

freezone and elite difference is the heatsink and the fan cfm.

elminator is the fan, cfm and missing one tec waterblock.

ah theres onet thing i find a lot of ppl forget about cooling.. thermal equilibrium..
hence this case.. it helps only a bit.. not as much as u and i would like.

for tec setup.. look at swiftech .. and check jakob from evga when he was using a qx9650 with 9800gxw or was is triple gtx280.
his temps was excellent.

but overall ppl in xs favours waterchillers using compressors.

guys, whoever wanna buy cheap WC like CoolIT Domino ALC should look on this benchmark test via maximum pc review... cheap WC kit vs high end cooler... it prove that cheap WC is not worth a buy... laugh.gif

check it out here:
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/reviews/coolit_domino_alc

the worse part is on the idle part, where it's on par with the stock cooler...  shakehead.gif  doh.gif

use gpuz to check ure second rail 12v and the droop u get from ure vddc
on ure hx1k..

lol.. now my second rail on my psu.. confirm konk already on ONE GtX480 only.

whats on the 2nd rail
D5 pump, ( 25watts)
6xfm123 (42watts)
5xnormal fans ( should be around 10 or less)
dvdrw ( max when burning should be 20 watts.. idle should be really low)
1 led
2 ccfl
2ssd
3hdd
1 antec veris elite
12v rail here for mine compare to a dmm read.. difference is +0.02v

so the read i get is idle at 11.92
stock gtx480 load 11.74v
overclock to 1.138 load is 11.68
overclock to 1.2 load is 11.5 and then konk.

that 225 watts from the pcie took a lot of toll on the second rail

dont see why two 480 rad would be a issue with tj07

u either put one at the top with a extended top and one bottom

or the current fav thing going around xs.. two at the bottom with a psu in the drive bay.

hmm overall i find tjo7 kindda small though

hmm if i know cudo well .. the price for the ax1200 is going to be ridiculous

going to get the cm 1200 silent pro gold
.. heard its coming together with the HAF X the same time..
maybe end of this month.

been tasting ( yup tasting.. cause eh got a way for me to speed up my bleed process from 1 hour to nowadays in 10 mins)
both lately a lot since trouble shooting wc blocks

shell is cooler
but the top part is stupidly made.. u need to take off properly the whole sticker cover thingy.. if not will leak.

haha i know he will OC for sure .
cause if he said he wont, i'll probably go to his house and b****slap him !

yea i know some prefer aesthethic but its sort of a waste of money without any purpose .
well dat's to me .
well i guess he will wait for new PSU la .
anyway, i dont think under p95 or linX will burn the PSU right ?
it'll only stress the system not the GPU .
*
thats kindda rude

u should be b**** slap for spamming a lot. lol

smile.gif

the cm 1200 should be the first to come
heard its coming maybe this week or next with the haf x casing

confirm the corsair unit is going to be pricey. storm88 said seasonic also should be next month or so.
that unit should be same as the cm1200.. but eh full modular like ax1200

whats curious about the ax1200 is the oem .. flextronic..hmmm... curious

also eh zhen wei.. afaik distro only brought in evga gtx460
the rest its still pending on back to back order or maybe.. afaik.

amazon.. heck god even can price it at even USD 1 buck

but when it comes to cudo..
we are at their mercy.

btw next time when u quote amazon dont forget this
"Usually ships within 1 to 3 months."

and the mrsp for this unit is USD329.

so expect malaysia to be around RM1400-1500.
