QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Oct 3 2018, 06:46 PM) Still have no idea what Navi is gonna be, hopefully Turing with RT and Tensor cores didn't choke them too much. They need to at least get on par with Pascal with Navi, if they can't can gulung tikar edi. Navi needs to be at least as good as GTX1080

QUOTE(Songchien @ Oct 3 2018, 07:04 PM) Navi needs to be at least as good as GTX1080 There's rumor few months back that Navi will bring 1080 performance to the mainstream ($200-$300) They also claim that Navi is not high end GPU which is quite worrying if it's true.

QUOTE(xonedl @ Oct 6 2018, 04:22 AM) With 2070 price around $500, new mainstream price is probably around $300-$400. Also if we somewhat affected by the new US import tariff, expect +$50 to the price imo.

Dude, 200 - 300 are less likely happened for mid range card. Components price are hiking recently. May be 300+ la.

I read it will be on 12nm TSMC? There should be more than just clock refinement imo, or maybe 980 performance at 1060 power consumption. QUOTE(chibyelong @ Oct 9 2018, 08:48 AM) hopefull they use gddr6 liao If 10%-15% performance bump over 580 is true then highly unlikely they will use GDDR6, this will become their "mid-range" yet again.

Since RTX had not met the crazy expectations, if AMD comes out with a 1080Ti beater now at a crazy competitive price point (like below RM2500) then that would decimate the sales of RTX 2080 and below... Especially as RTX is not very much in games yet.

Please la, no more hype what navi capable of. Navi is a mid end card not hi-end card, don't expect much la. if can catch up with 2080 already won.

If priced right... Take a look at Vega 56, aimed at 1080 but fell short, and Nvidia launched 170Ti at better price point.

Haha reminds me a lot of Polaris. Everyone thought it's gonna be high end but turns out to be comparable to gtx970.
