Apparently recent leaked about Vega sporting 1600mhz core clock and 16GB HBM2 VRAM is true.

Last night AMD announced Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, a Vega card for the professional.



Things suddenly got much more interesting.

Dont. It only have 4GB VRAM and will choke on newer games at higher setting, plus with crazy miner scalping you better off buying other cards. Even the pesky 290/X are over RM1000+ nowadays

It's the sad truth. Can't even upgrade from my 980Ti to anything newer. Things too expensive not only on AMD camp but also nvidia's. Miners even take lower end RX460/560 and GTX1050Ti cards now.

That one will be Navi - which won't be available until 2019 

Polaris refresh would be something to compete with the upcoming RTX2060

Still have no idea what Navi is gonna be, hopefully Turing with RT and Tensor cores didn't choke them too much.
They need to at least get on par with Pascal with Navi, if they can't can gulung tikar edi.

There's rumor few months back that Navi will bring 1080 performance to the mainstream ($200-$300)
They also claim that Navi is not high end GPU which is quite worrying if it's true.

Well, I myself recently just got hold of a Sapphire Nitro+ RX480 on a swap deal and also saw that one of the fans was faulty.

Could not find one who is selling the fan locally so ended up turning it into a water cooled unit using ID-Cooling's GPU AIO cooler.

Aftermarket Vega 56 should've have higher TDP.

AMD need to start bring out and optimize every features in Vega, that card performance simply doesn't make much sense for me.
New arch doesn't guarantee it will be great, now with ray tracing AMD gonna have even more problem. Nvidia got almost a decade of lead start with RTX.
Wait till u buy audio stuff, $150 headphone become almost Rm1.5k here.
