That TDP bump of RX580 from 150W to 185W, and a recommended power supply of 600W. ><

Apparently recent leaked about Vega sporting 1600mhz core clock and 16GB HBM2 VRAM is true.

Last night AMD announced Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, a Vega card for the professional.

Things suddenly got much more interesting.  drool.gif

Hopefully Vega will perform well. I don't hope much, but hopefully the highest end vega should perform near 1080ti.

Anyone using fury x? How does it fare in 2018? Trying to find in garage sale to know about its 2nd hand price but it's very rare here.

Dont. It only have 4GB VRAM and will choke on newer games at higher setting, plus with crazy miner scalping you better off buying other cards. Even the pesky 290/X are over RM1000+ nowadays
*
That's sad. Im an AMD fan but every other AMD card are damn expensive now.

It's the sad truth. Can't even upgrade from my 980Ti to anything newer. Things too expensive not only on AMD camp but also nvidia's. Miners even take lower end RX460/560 and GTX1050Ti cards now.
*
I'm stucked at gtx1050ti. Very eager to try amd card and freesync. Gotta wait more patiently and save up more then.

That one will be Navi - which won't be available until 2019  icon_idea.gif

Polaris refresh would be something to compete with the upcoming RTX2060 icon_idea.gif
*
Hmm I doubt Polaris 30 can even beat 2060. I think 2060 will perform around 1070.

Still have no idea what Navi is gonna be, hopefully Turing with RT and Tensor cores didn't choke them too much.
They need to at least get on par with Pascal with Navi, if they can't can gulung tikar edi.
*
Navi needs to be at least as good as GTX1080

There's rumor few months back that Navi will bring 1080 performance to the mainstream ($200-$300)
They also claim that Navi is not high end GPU which is quite worrying if it's true.
*
I think that will be true though. Lol.

I'll be damned if this is 470/480/570/580 with higher clock speed.

What other possible configuration?
Vega + GDDR5?
40 CU Polaris like in XBOX?
Or bigger Polaris?
*
Dont expect too much. Just node refinement and slight clock bump. I would say it will price the same as its last gen launch price.

Anyone knows where to buy replacement fan for sapphire nitro rx570?

My fan tilted and hit my power supply inside a SFX case.
Still spins. All fans intact. Now I have to lift the GPU with a stick so that the fan doesn't hit my power supply.

No, because it is a 580 on 12nm. At higher clock speed and power consumption.

Rated 225W. Higher than Vega 56 210W

Goddamn AMD needs money to create new architecture

Well, I myself recently just got hold of a Sapphire Nitro+ RX480 on a swap deal and also saw that one of the fans was faulty.

Could not find one who is selling the fan locally so ended up turning it into a water cooled unit using ID-Cooling's GPU AIO cooler.

Got it from Taobao and it looks like this (pardon on the not so optimal image) :

Hope it helps...

Nice. I'm using fractal design Nano S with ATX power supply.
I think that water cooling is too thick for me lol.

Time to change case. Damn it

Undervolt it. tongue.gif
Aftermarket Vega 56 should've have higher TDP.

AMD need to start bring out and optimize every features in Vega, that card performance simply doesn't make much sense for me.
New arch doesn't guarantee it will be great, now with ray tracing AMD gonna have even more problem. Nvidia got almost a decade of lead start with RTX.
Wait till u buy audio stuff, $150 headphone become almost Rm1.5k here. laugh.gif
*
Yeah. Next GPU AMD really need to focus on efficiency. And the Vega series, it had some feature turned off after launch right? Something like rasteurizer?

Gskill 3200 cl16 rm320? where do you see this? Tridentz ?

Also is it ok to buy 2 of it separately instead of paying for a pair?

Cuz I see a pair is more expensive than buying separately. Wanna run in dual channel.
