There's rumor few months back that Navi will bring 1080 performance to the mainstream ($200-$300)

My RX580 seems to instantly crash when test with OCCT or running certain games like Cyberpunk 2007 & Wolcen after 15~30 minutes or so. Just now I open browser dunno what trips it also crash instantly, currently turned off the browser's hardware acceleration...
other games like path of exile or dirt rally 2 seems to be no problem at all despite I play it whole day non stop.

Since my system is rather old there can be problem at any place cry.gif
i5 2500k, asus p8p67le, power color rx580 8gb, corsair hx750 psu 10 years old already.
the gpu is running on secondary pcie slot since the primary was dead - no signal on boot.

sigh... dunno exactly what issue, low on money to fix anything.
I certainly hope it isn't the fault of GPU... at least between mobo / psu I can replace one of them. cry.gif

currently downloading W10 iso... wanna do a fresh reinstall, haven't do so for many years already.

yesterday night I try to lower the gpu clock speed from 1350 -> 1250 & vram speed from 2000 -> 1900, it appear to pass the OCCT test.
but today boot it up to test again, instant crash....... cry.gif

Well, yeah. Maybe.
It's been running for 10 years, there are 4 dedicated GPU power ports, tried them all with several factory cables.
No luck.

Now I plug it to the molex instead by using a coverter cable.
And... the test ran without crashing. bangwall.gif For now at least.
Ran the OCCT GPU stress test for half an hour, vram test, power test, all works no crash this time.
But then again I dunno if wake up tomorrow it starts crashing again... sigh... puke.gif

Fresh windows, fresh driver.
