Was checking out prices between 9070XT and 9060XT during the 6.6 sales. It was possible to get 9070xt for RM3300 while 9060XT was around RM1850.
Considering that 9070XT is pretty much a 9060XT x 2, decided to go with the 9070XT. But the 9060XT defnitely has less markup than the 9070XT locally, at least if the current 9060XT prices holds up.
Unlike software based FSR3, all new FSR4 has hardware based component only available on 9000series & maybe later. So how does it 'enabled' in 7000series is questionable at best or perhaps its FSR 4 'lite' similar to DLSS 3.5 where its 'technically' supported on older RTX but not all features are available. But then thats a lie as well if AMD is not calling it FSR 4.5 or something.
Then again its from WCCFTECH so treat it like MLID info, half of it often is wrong.

my powercolor 6900xt also hit over 100c on the hotspot i repasted also wont work until i used those teflon washers and ikat the cooler the hotspot now play in the 90s if games at high fps. the delta usually in the 20c edge vs hotspot.

RX6000 GPU series are hot chips bcoz AMD didnt optimise power usage so they leak heat like crazy.

i use a RX 7800 XT. it's the nitro +
the heatsink and fan it comes with is very good. furthermore, in the amd software, u can further adjust the fans how they operate. mine is set to ramp up the fan speed if it reaches certain temp thresholds. so for this model and possibly newer, the amd heat issue is not really a problem.
Not sure on other models where u only get very basic cooling. these Nitro + and other equivalent cost extra, and they tend to be bulkier so may not be appropriate for certain pc case builds. I use a torrent fractal case, so there is ample space.
if i am not mistaken i think nvidia is said to be better at power efficiency compared to amd for graphic card? so there is that difference. take with a grain of salt and double check, but this is what i read somewhere.

VicentRS-
7800 XT has about 5% better performance and 4GB more VRAM.
The 4070 consumes less power (about ~60-70W less) and the current NVIDIA features are better than the AMD counterparts.
If the 7800 XT is cheaper where you live, get the 7800XT. If they are about the same price (as it was for me) then you have to judge how much you value stuff like ray tracing, DLSS, DLDSR, etc, because that's the current nvidia "premium". If you don't care about those, or trust that the AMD counterparts will get better in the future, then get the 7800 XT.
The power consumption may also play a role in your choice. I myself got the 4070.
then again lots of gamers dont pay too close attention to those finer details. they mostly focus on fps. so how much power it sucks is not necessarily on every1s minds
did the new gen of radeon graphics cards bridge the power efficiency gap with nvidia? no idea

Nitro+ is top tier model for Sapphire Radeons so its result may not be universal for all 7800xt as you will also find there is the much poorer PULSE models which wont have as much thermal headroom as your Nitro+ GPU.
Nvidia is still the go to for power efficiency performance. IINM RX9000 series closed further that gap due to it returning to monolithic design vs 6000/7000series.

correct.
things like nitro + is the higher end for the radeon variant. but it solves cooling issue, but of course got to pay for it
for the standard variant, they usually come with the basic stuff. is that sufficient? not sure, but i can vouch for something like nitro+ because i did the fan setting and saw the temps using hwinfo, there is zero problem with cooling. and since my fan adjustments is more aggressive to ramp up when the temps hit a certain threshold, i can be even more sure temps wont reach problematic temp thresholds
9000 series closed the gap? thats good to hear.
But what about fsr4, did it ever solve the shimmer issue for moving objects there would be a shimmer effect now and then?
beside that i hear even the quality for the image still not quite as good as dlss.
i dont typically enable fsr since i game at 1440p and some of my game slike apex legends can get 180 fps fine without it. but some newer demanding games, i have to enable to get a higher fps
