It's all about the free-gifts that bundle given by Samsung. If it's really good then I don't mind to buy again this phone. laugh.gif

Now bundle it with Gear S3, Samsung!

Yea saw it this morning. With that price point, might as well go for the new S8 sweat.gif

Refurbished set should give at least 40-50% discount ma.

There are many factors to consider. For starters, Apple products are perceived as premium and their target markets do not mind forking out relatively more money. Hence, their pricings. Secondly, as for Samsung, they have always priced their products at a higher range initially. However, their prices drop quite quickly in time. Then, for this particular model, given the saga it went through, IMHO, they cannot price it so high lest no one would buy coupled with the fact that Note 8 is around the corner. They would then be saddled with a lot of inventory.

If anyone is interested, wait for a while, the price will surely come down. Mark my words.

Galaxy Note Fan Edition goes on sale in South Korea

Just 5 days after the unveiling of Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, the phone has gone on sale in South Korea. It costs KRW699,600 which equals $611 and only 400,000 units will be sold in the initial batch.

The Galaxy Note FE is a reborn Galaxy Note7, but with slight differences. Now it runs on Android Nougat, instead of the original Android Marshmallow 6.0.

Since the battery was the reason Galaxy Note7 caught on fire, Samsung completely overhauled it. Its capacity was decreased to 3,200 mAh, as opposed to the original power cell with 3,500 mAh charge.

The phone is sold in three versions for the three South Korean mobile carriers - SK Telekom, Korea Telekom and LG Uplus.

When the original was released in September 2016, its price tag was close to KRW1 million. Now the Fan Edition’s price is around 30% cheaper.

So last time it costs KRW1 million (RM3723) equal to RM3199 when it's official in Malaysia. It's RM500 off from direct converter. Now it's KRW700,000 (RM2606). Roughly if it's official here, hopefully it's around RM2,100 - RM2,300.

Should be less than RM1800.

But then again they market it as limited fans edition.

Whilst I would want the price to be low, we have to be fair and realistic. The pricing for this FE iteration has to be relative to the original. Personally, the announced price is a little high but your RM1800 is way off. A tad over RM2000, in my opinion would be good and desirable to the masses, I believe.
