by the time note 7R selling in market might as well as wait for note 8
earliest note 7R selling in market around June, while note 8 normally announce during IFA, which is around September (roughly 3-4 months for it selling in market) laugh.gif

Yes but the price points may be the deciding factor.

If they really manage to solve the catching fire problem I would buy it. Will be getting a powerful phone for under 3k is great.
*
They would have. If not, they will never be allowed to release it, given the earlier saga.

Wow.. still many interested in the Note 7R after all the fiasco. But do remember its a refurbished/used phone. Not a new one.

And hence the lower price!

Rm2.2-2.3k for a refurbished phone isn't my idea of a 'lower priced' phone.  sweat.gif
*
I hate to break it to you but the last I heard, lower is relative. In this case, it is comparing to the original price of the Note7. That being the case, is it not lower in price? whistling.gif

Yes, but with the Note 8 around the corner, and the Note 7 considered a older model now. But then again, like you mentioned, this is relative.  whistling.gif

You and a few here are something else. Not to digress from the purpose of this thread, I shall cease and desist here, vis-a-vis this issue.

Allow me to remind you and and those who need reminding, please read to understand and not just to reply. Thence, no unnecessary band-width is wasted.

You are funny. Like everybody else in this forum who are entitled to their own opinion and ideas, do not force your ideas into others and make them believe in what you think is right or wrong. Trying to act like a smart alec here doesn't make you "look" bright, but the other way round.
*
Opinion, yes, everyone is entitled to it. But, in this particular case, you were not expressing one. You were responding to something in error by not reading and understanding what was put forth, to start off with. When put in your place you digressed and yet again, with your above reply you have exhibited how a disillusioned person reacts, dig the hole deeper.

I shall not engage further on this but whoever reads these exchanges in a cluster, will know the situation.

Apple phone so far has not become a bombing device...so okay la. Ini bombing device refurbished kena la discount 50% then only people willing to buy sweat.gif
*
There are many factors to consider. For starters, Apple products are perceived as premium and their target markets do not mind forking out relatively more money. Hence, their pricings. Secondly, as for Samsung, they have always priced their products at a higher range initially. However, their prices drop quite quickly in time. Then, for this particular model, given the saga it went through, IMHO, they cannot price it so high lest no one would buy coupled with the fact that Note 8 is around the corner. They would then be saddled with a lot of inventory.

If anyone is interested, wait for a while, the price will surely come down. Mark my words.

Should be less than RM1800.

But then again they market it as limited fans edition.
*
Whilst I would want the price to be low, we have to be fair and realistic. The pricing for this FE iteration has to be relative to the original. Personally, the announced price is a little high but your RM1800 is way off. A tad over RM2000, in my opinion would be good and desirable to the masses, I believe.

Of course there is small chance for it's to become official locally as it's limited to less than a million units. They always go to China and India after Korea. Just these 3 countries, their stock will finish in no time.

I'm still waiting for S8 Pirates of the Caribbean Edition though. It's only for China/HK market. I don't see it anywhere that sold it, not even eBay. Just JD.com. Even this one still not become available locally yet laugh.gif
*
If it is a new flagship, yes, you are right but it is not and coupled with the fact that Note8 is due soon, not to mention the price, I doubt it would be sold out in those countries.

Wow... one must be a real fan of the Note 7 to buy this. sweat.gif  Nice box though.

Bad thing is, you would still be barred from boarding an airplane with this.
*
Your second statement, how do you know that for a fact? Pray tell.

I just came back from Melbourne last week and the Note 7 is still one of the barred devices on board. There is even an announcement on and off over the pa that the Note 7 is one of the barred devices and also on the announcement boards. Im flying off again this weekend and I will confirm again if its still banned. rolleyes.gif

This is a 'different' phone. It is for all intent and purpose not a Note 7 per se. It is Note FE. So, your initial statement at this juncture and even your reply, to me, is open to debate. Of course, until and unless the airlines all over take the same action against it with notices specific to this phone, no one can say for sure.

Technically, it is stlll a Note 7 though a refurbished/ remodeled one (whatever one may call it). The ban clearly states the Note 7. I wouldn't risk it though if you ask me, rather than risk being thrown out of the plane and getting questioned for hours in the hands of airport security, customs and the police.
*
You are singing a different tune now.

Saying what you are saying as aforementioned, you get no argument. But I am pretty sure the authorities will review the Note FE as a different model. Whether they will decide to ban it, we will only know in time. Hence, my comment, unlike yours, no one will know for sure at this point in time.

Anyone dare to buy after all the previous issues tongue.gif

Airline still ban right?? Or already lifted it hmm.gif
*
This is NOT Note7. The authorities will have to review same under the circumstances. But a company like Samsung will not be stupid enough not to have checked/consulted before venturing into this exercise. We will have to see what the authorities say after that. But by no means this phone should be said in the same breath as the Note7.

Typically, in every keynote, the speakers will briefly remind audience just how great the predecessor was. I am very eager to hear what they are gonna say about their Note 7 during the Note 8 announcement.
*
They admitted the farce and did the worldwide recall with the Note7. So, I believe they would say they have learned their lesson and are back with a much better device, which is true, if all the rumours about it materialise. Note7, in many people's opinion was the best mobile phone when it came out, if not for the battery problem. So, except for the expected exorbitant pricing, this could well be the best phone when it comes out.

Actually that's me .... We return note 7 ... get back 300 + s7edge .... so now we return s7edge + 300 .. get back note 7 / FE .... what's the problem ? How's this special treatment or discounts ?
*
Aren't what you are asking for out of the norm? As it is, it is a special demand. And as it is a special out of the norm request, isn't that asking for special treatment?

Going by your rationale, all those who got the S8/+ from pre-orders should demand for Samsung to give what offers the latter was giving at the road show sales. Why stop at that? When the price tumbled down in such a short period of time, all owners should ask Samsung to rebate them the difference.

Wouldn't that be great?

Those who wanted Note are those wanting the S Pen. The S8 doesn't have one. I reckon that was why they are asking for any new Samsung that comes with S Pen.

You totally confused me...and I believe a whole load of other forummers as well.
