Not all banks are the same. I’m currently using Hxxx and UXX.
*
any banks that offer cc WITH Annual Fee attached to the card is the same.

T&C and PDS already informed applicant upfront of the fees to be imposed.

you agree to it, then you signed the form and they process your application.

you dont agree, then definitely you dont get any facilities from the bank.

unless bank stated waive conditions in black&white (t&c or PDS), waive-ability is subjective to managements approval or even internal policies which are not disclosed (reviewed per request basis)

If next month is not card anniversary, then no rush to cancel it. smile.gif I'll be keeping it until my card anniversary in July (SST) and August (AF).
*
mine on Feb (checked with CS last year), hence the planning to cut the cards even before the revision announcement biggrin.gif

btw, i have last cashback for JOP but never have spending since many months, how can i transfer to LFC to offset latest outstanding when i going to cancel both?
*
redeem the JOP cashback into JOP
cancel JOP
ask CS to transfer the excess to LFC

i would like to cancel both JOP and LFC as well.. so u advise me to cancel JOP first, after that only cancel LFC? if they could offer annual fee waiver and SST cashback then i might consider to keep for another year too.. but this excessive outstanding case makes it complicated hmm.gif
*
you're complicating the matter

you want all 3 together: card cancellation + earn the cashback (without redeeming) + AF/SST rebates

nope, just want card cancellation as the anniversary month is January. AF/SST rebate is optional
*
u still need to redeem out the JOP cashback, no?

else, contact CS for answer if your scenario can work.

JOP cashback already in and sitting there for few months without any spending since BP reduced top up limit. meanwhile LFC last spending was December with outstanding now... best if the JOP cashback can be transfer to LFC to offset the outstanding and cancel both cards at the same time but contacted CS previously cashback cannot be transferred hmm.gif

Added on
wonder if this could work: spend RM60 with the JOP then only proceed for card cancellation so that the cashback can be fully utilised
*
if already redeemed, then you can transfer it out to LFC upon requesting for termination of JOP.

i've done that before, no issue with CS.

or you just spend RM60 per your suggestion.

Not aware of cb release date even after many years owning it.
Saw Kilakila reported cb on 15 Jan 2021. That is not the cb for December spending?
*
cb status is in the monthly statement:

1) cb available for redemption
2) cb redeemed to card

you can start flipping your estatements and see when the cb were available for redemption

So RM 134 into petrol is a new added category required in order to get RM60 CB? Both auto pay and petrol must meet the min speeding requirement of RM134 and get the RM60 CB? I won't get full RM60 CB if I don't speed on petrol right?
*
petrol has always been there, just that last time it was combined with autobill.

now, it's separated in its spend category

You never get SST rebate before? Try this way it work for me 100%. Call up SC then tell them you wanna cancel all your SC cards. Someone will follow up and offer you.
*
that's different

1) getting sst rebate directly without cancelling

2) threaten to cancel and retention team offer sst/af rebate -- be careful when doing this
