If you very sure everything is correct from your end, open a case with Std Charted to investigate. There were people who reported similar incidents before.

QUOTE(New2LYN @ Dec 3 2023, 10:37 PM)
I am new to simply cash credit card. Would like to ask:

1. If I spend RM2000 on TnG ewallet top up, am I entitled to 2k * 0.5% = RM10 cash back? Does the 0.5% CB (max RM12.50) for spending below 2.5k has the cap amount on each category as well?

2. What is the statement date? Is it same for everyone?

3. The CB is based on transactions in the calendar month, not statement cycle month, right?

4. If the CB is not in multiple of RM30, any expiry date to those CB lesser than RM30?

5. Any charges imposed by this credit card on reload TnG?

6. Retail transactions: does it include ewallet top up?

TIA.
*
1. Yes, but there is also another condition where you specified in Question 4.

2. No, they have a range of dates.

3. Correct.

4. All Cashback must be redeemed prior to the points cancellation/ expiry date. The points cancellation/ expiry date will be shown in your monthly credit card statement.

5. No, but T@NGo imposes a 1% fee if you reload more than $1000 a month. If you reload $2000 straight instead of $1000+1000, T@NGo will charge you $20.

6. Yes. Only participating ewallets entitle for cashback. Non-participating ewallets can be used for filler spends only.

How u request for it?

I played the cancel game, card got cancelled. Then be a good boy and call in to request GST sponsorship for remaining card, was taught to use my cashback to pay for it. Confirmed my GST date, so i won't be spending the calendar month before GST.

Anyone knows why i didn't get any cashback despite i spent more than RM 2500 ... i believe i do spend at their category ...
*
1.0 Qualified merchants spending only.

2.0 Dec spending cashback only available for redemption in multiples of $30 around Week 3 or Week 4 Jan. For example, qualified Nov spending still not available for redemption as of today. Last month was a bit earlier.

This is my first statement... I think no 2.0 alrdy answer my question...So i will wait until end of this month or next month...

Also for the cashback is it base on statement month OR calendar month (like MBB) ?
*
Calendar month. Transaction posting must be done latest by 7th the following month to qualify.

December spending will be late Jan. End of this month, if any, will be for Nov.

hi guys, i bought some stuff but seller send wrong item so i got refunded directly into credit card. I already made payment for this to my card so it kinda shows up as overpayment.

But im no longer will be using this card, how do i transfer this refund into my other bank account? I tried using "Credit Balance Refund" but it says "We are unable to process your request. Kindly contact our 24/7 Phone Banking for further assistance." Their contact number no one really picking up.
*
If you wait long enough, someone should pick up. Otherwise, choose the Emergency option

Anyone managed to get service tax rebate/waiver recently from cs? I’m using simply cash and cs said no rebate or waiver when I called to request.
*
Rarely got waiver/rebate. Usually you have to cancel your card, and their Retention might call to retain you and offer the rebate.

Hi, may I ask does ewallet top up considered as retail spend?
*
Yes but not all retail spends qualify for cashback. For non-qualified cashback retail spends, they're only used as filler spends to reach $2500 if you're referring to Just 1Platinum

Anybody else having problem login into SC website/app? Kept saying my id or pw is wrong when I am sure it's correct. Can't even check my credit card statement - why can't they just email it to me instead of making me check in the app, which I dislike using?
*
I am receiving their statement over email. Cannot remember if have to configure it or automagically programmed from your details when you applied for their card.

Anyone can help to advise for Simply Cash cc, to get the monthly cashback, the transaction must follow card statement cutoff date or calendar month date which is 1st to 31st?

Besides, TnG e-wallet transaction is counted as valid retail spend as part of the total spend 2.5K right?

The cashback amount given is not correct for past 2 months even I have met min 2.5K spend and wondering what could be the issue here.
*
Calendar month and must be posted by 7th the next month.

$20 for participating ewallet and grocery each and any petrol, totalling $60 if you spend at least $133.34 each.

QUOTE(kenloh7 @ Feb 1 2024, 12:40 PM)
I need some advise. My bro is applying for standard charted through ringgitplus, to get RM1000 if submit using EPF statement. But the SC agent called back stating that since his job recently changed 3 months ago, and there's no EPF statement showing 6 months of income in the same company, the agent rejected and say that only can give RM600 (thru submission of payslip). Even when my bro gave the previous year EPF statement, it is useless.

My question is, I thought the RM1000 is given by ringgitplus? how does SC have the authority to decide whether he gets rm1000 or rm600? As he already submitted based on the requirement below.
user posted image

And based on SC salaried requirement, it just reflects latest 3 months EPF contribution, and nothing about needing 6 months in the same company.

Print from EPF site lo.

Last resort tell them your bro is 1 step away from opening a case with Telelink

My bro gave the 2024 statement to them. Then they ask to submit the payslip later on in email, hoping that it will nullify the EPF statement.
*
2024 only 1 month. Nothing much to see unless they want to see his entire EPF savings. I don't think it will nullify unless they said what you posted that they don't accept his EPF.

Either SCB or RP fuck up... approved in October 23, swiped 8 times over RM2k... still haven't get RM1k as promised. Email back and forth asking a lot of details. Taichi by SCB? Or RP running out of funds?
*
Most likely $+ as I don't think Std Charted needs to weasel out $1k.

Search function is down, wonder if there's any change in justone (simply cash) card cashback for petrol transaction?

I often pay at Shell counter to buy drinks, and used to get cashback. Back in November I reloaded touchngo at Shell but macam no cashback. Is it must pay at dispenser in order to get cashback?

Standard chartered's cashback very hard to track, need to manual redeem. To make things worse, justone card's cashback can only redeem at every RM30. I have to rely on the summary of each statement to trace back like the photo below:

Photo just example.
*
No changes since 1 year ago. You have to check how much you redeemed in Dec or if you redeemed in Dec or if you spent enough in Nov.

my experience to the call for card cancellation & get AF waiver 100%

i has paid all outstanding transaction. remain AF unpaid.

call to get human customer service (select fraud on the process is ok.)
when you get a human to talk to, told him/her to cancel the card

1st offer: waive 50% AF - NOT ACCEPT
2nd offer: apply their product, waive 100% AF - NOT ACCEPT
3rd offer: do 3 transactions in 14 days, waive 100% AF - ACCEPT
has to taichi a bit  bruce.gif

get the report no.
after done 3 transactions need to call back again and talk to human.
each call 15mins. 2 calls total 30mins (the wait for human is long)
*
When you're not a big customer, it's always Simply Cancel to get waiver.

I was once told to apply the Annual Fee waiver through their website. This can only be done once it's posted. But once it's posted, I was at their mercy and they gave me 50% off. Since I was careful not to spend a single cent until the whole GST + Annual Fee fiasco are over, told them I'll pay up what I owe them minus the Annual Fee and Simply Cancel the card, then only i get 100%.
