use hlb gsc card instead. off rm6 all movie.

I could, but I'm too cheap to pay non-Wednesday rates. The RM7 promo was great for me cos I can go other weeknights. But if it's gonna be RM10, well... other cineplex (and GSC) are like RM8, 9 on Wednesdays.

And I don't really want another credit card atm... RM6 off is really not that much cheaper, I think.

Valid suggestion, though.

Called to cancel the Visa Plat a week or two ago using SST as a cover (also I never applied for it to begin with). They called and tried to make me keep it, but since they can see from their end that I've not used the card in months, they didn't give me too much grief or try to retain me. I got a text message several days after the call saying that the card's been cancelled.

I also dunno if I'll be able to waive the JOP AF when the time comes... hmm.gif

They (finally) charged RM250 JOP AF in most recent statement. TBH, I don't think I reached RM20K spending.

Just got off the phone with CS (called the number on the back of the card, went through SMS verification, etc), who gave the AF waiver right away. Was told it would take one working day to take into effect. Will update this post when it actually happens.

I'm guessing still can call them for AF waiver, but YMMV.

Checked online banking and AF charge got reversed, but it'll only be reflected in next statement (June).

Because it was the last item charged in my May 2019 statement, I was told that I can pay current statement balance minus RM250. Can I really do that, or do I pay the full amount as per statement just to cover my butt/don't get charged interest and what not?

Thanks.

Yeah. Via both app and online...

Can check the cancellation status online as well.

Go settings > help and services > card management

I never knew to check the settings there. Thanks for the heads up. thumbup.gif

I suppose it's just as well that I got my JOP AF waived recently.

"annual fee will no longer be automatically waived for customers that meet the yearly spend amount."

Doesn't this just mean that you COULD still call for AF waiver, regardless of whether you met the annual spend amount or not...? They're not saying they won't waive what... hmm.gif

That's just how I see it. whistling.gif

Anyone got justone annual fee waived below 20k yearly?

Got, one or two months ago. Can ask to waive AF over chat. Have to wait until you see it on your statement or online balance.

QUOTE(kyxxx @ Jul 9 2019, 10:36 AM)
before this JOP waive our annual fee for >20k yearly usage right? when i applied for it last month, it was mentioned so

yesterday i checked ringgitplus, this waive info was removed.
Basically now, 1st year waived, subsequent years RM250 (no other waive criteria mentioned)

same for their TnC i received.

anyone else here can clarify?
*Just received my JOP card yesterday  rclxms.gif

I think it's no automatic waive, but I think if you managed to spend RM20K, then won't charge mah, no? A lot of other people on here will tell you that AF can be waived.

It's first come first serve. What if it really never came or it came and runs out of quota?

It's unfair and deemed cheating.

Is this your first time ah?

This campaign and its previous iterations (I feel) just comes down to sheer dumb luck. I don't think I've gotten more than RM5 cashbacks during these so-called "campaigns" in the last 18 months or so that I've had a SC card.

I've tried twice today (one actual retail transaction, one Grab wallet reload), also no luck.

To those people who've won more than RM5 cashback.. good on them lah. thumbup.gif

So du lan for what? whistling.gif

The "The Daily Cashback Prize is capped at 123,500 winners throughout the Campaign Period." (as per the T&C)

I guess they maxed out before noon today cos I sure as heck didn't get a text with the link.

First time it's happened, okay. Previous campaigns no problem one. I will concede it was my own brain fart for forgetting that other uMobile users on here had similar issues last few days. Oh wells.

However, I have to give SC props for the CYA... dry.gif

YMMV depending on the day, but yes.

I've bought at midnight before, middle of the day...

last time the allocation used to be higher, now 80 only, tough.

Nah, still too cheap to pay RM10 when other cinema chain got promo. But that's just me.
