why put a CL 300k then reject you? Instead of putting like 5k - 10k and approve you...haha...

Not surprising. I had the exact experience as him. Same CL given during application on CCRIS and also followed by rejection. I've posted about this before as well and someone mentioned that if approved, they will revise the CL to a more reasonable amount. I've called up the CS to ask for an appeal and got the answer to apply after 6 months (same as what has been posted here) and that the super high limit, ie 300k in my case, is their 'SOP' apparently.. True or false? We can never know..

And like some have mentioned, my CCRIS now no longer shows any CC application with SCB at all, after the rejection.. Which is surprising as I had thought they would just update the status under pending applications on CCRIS to 'failed' or something similar instead of removing all records on the application.. This is as if i have never applied with SCB at all, if based purely on my CCRIS now  .. Though the bank may have their own records on their end..

yalo...if ccris score good, there should be ok. do you check your ccris score? mayb ppl use ur name to apply cc without u knowing it and its shown in the ccris.

When you already have 1 credit card after 1 year+ maintaining good payment record(full payment), then you are good to apply almost all credit card.

I once just start work, and bank reject me for all cc application (mbb and citi). But after work 1 year full and apply again on mbb, got approve. and now no problem to apply any other bank. 100% approve rate so far.

too clean is one of the issues when applying CC.

hence, it is always recommended to get your 1st CC from a local bank which your salary is paid to. higher  approval rate. then from there when u have spending pattern, easier to apply for foreign bank CC. step by step.
