Hi gid,

i really dont know much about working line. i am only into showline. if you want showline infos like pedigree or etc, just let me know. The speciality show in KL is over. It was in June. I was there but not much entries. i think the sarawak show will have more. I will try to take some pics if i got time.

tIMO,

I agreed with you on giving your undivided love to your dog. we have friends but the dogs dont have, they only have you. Taking care of dog not only gsd are really time consuming and expensive. lol.

Ah-chuan,

take your time and look around for better breeder lo. this one smell like trouble awaiting to happen. if you cannot find him now, then when pups got problem, how are you even going to find him? take my advise, only buy from someone that you feel comfortable with because you might be dealing with him for the rest of your dog life. relax la, in about 4 months from now there will be lots of gsd puppy for sale. the breeding season just started.

Hi,

I dare not call myself a breeder la. Only did a few breeding before and that is it. have been interested and rear gsd for 11 years now. I dont breed unless it is to improve the breed. I got 1 male and 2 females now. Waiting to see what my own male (quell) can produce soon. as for the 3+ year old male (orlando), he just arrived so dont want to stress him out now. change of situation can be very stressful. will update if got puppies. There is another top male in malaysia SG28 2008 Kiano but he is around 22 months now. pics below not taken today. cannot find a pics of him in handphone. lol.

sirisaac.. all ur gsd,, u imported them?? how much does they cost??
and u know any good gsd breeder around??
apparently i was abit afraid of  getting gsd for their hip/leg problem.. cause been told that there is a few breeder at
KL, Malacca, JB have important a batch of GSD which have these problems and breeding them..
*
Hi,

yes, all my gsd are imported from germany itself. pricing is very subjective la. depending on quality. but shipping alone will set you back 4-6k RM. ok, as for the folklore of hip problem and people importing hip problem are all nonsense. this is just funny. i have heard this a thousand times and everytimes i ask them to show me a breeder using hip problem dogs to breed- these people cannot name any. the few breeder i know have their dogs hip scored and some even elbow scored. accident will have and a few might carry the problem but this is the same as all big breed. rott, danes, lab, golden and etc all face the same problem. if you love gsd then go right ahead and keep them. i dare say- no other breed come close.

gsd is not as fast as malinois
gsd is not as cute as pom
gsd is not as fierce as rott
gsd is not as defensive as central asian shepherd

but overall they are second in all classes. they are the complete and total package in dog.

so u r a dog trainer too??
cool.. maybe i can consider to let u train my dog next time,,
hey bro.just a quick question..
someone intro me to Dr Jay who is a vet and also a breeder n trainer (kinda famous) i think..
and he suggest me to get a dog who is ready to work which might be 2 years old..
so wat u think??
for me i would preffer to get the dog from puppy cause .. the relationship there.. but would it be alrite to get a gsd or rottie who is ready to work n listen to command ?
*
thanks for considering me to be the trainer but i have to decline la. ours is showring training. i dont do attack work. i am into showline only. fascinating type. as for dr jay, i never hear before this guy. what breed is he in?? as for dog i also suggest to get 1 year and above dog. this is because we can see the potential and also suitability for showring. the price is a little more expensive because 1 years plus is usually holdback from the breeder. as for puppy, this is like gambling. you dont know what they will look like when they grow up. puppy changes a lot. for me i import only semi adult because we can see the potential then. puppy is too much risk for us. go youtube.com and check on germany sieger show. and you will understand showring better.

ah chuan.

puppy is good and cute and also will bond with you. but semi adult ( 9-12 ) months also will bond very fast. no problem at all. i like 1 year and above because you dont have the risk of parvo, sickness and etc like puppies. and you can see the actual type when buying 1 year old. for example the ears will be up, the bite is right, the color is right and etc.

My 3 months++ pup GSD named Cherry.

user posted image

I bought it from a reputable breeder in Klang.

Just did vacination and deworming.

I noticed that the vet gave Caniverm (from bioveta) and i did some reading online...

http://www.bioveta.cz/en/veterinary-divisi...-tbl-ad-us.html

I noticed that it only covers roundworm & tapeworm, but not heartworm.

The last 2 deworming was using Caniverm too, now I'm really worried as my pup is vulnerable to heartworm.

Thinking of the following option ...

1. Resend to vet and ask them to feed HeartGard (don't know if double deworming is allowed, recent one was on 20/7/2009)
2. Wait till next month and start to feed HeartGard (hopefully my pup is not infected before )

Really appreciate if you guys can advice me on this.
*
Hi,

Nice to have someone new in this thread. welcome....i dont think i will try to give you an answer. Cause i am no expert la. But deworming is not for heartworm. Deworming is only for tape worms and etc. heart worm and a few more virus you need heartgard. Totally diff usage. But please see other vets if still unsure. As for the Klang breeder, what is the name and also who is the parents? share share ma. lol

MKA cert will take about 4-6 months some even longer. depending on the level of activites in their office. just remember to change to your name when you get the cert. there will be a green form enclosed. enjoy playing with your gsd. they are really great. remember to update pics here. i remember a few members here that have gsd too. pics time.

as for the look, they will look very cute from 2-5 months. then look funny (awkward stage) tall and leggy till 12 month to 15 months. they will continue to mature till 3 years old. that will be the peak.

pic time. previous litter. her name is aria (female)

Added on August 1, 2009, 11:11 pmsorry, aria is the first pics.

Nyxator,

as for the bathroom, i would suggest not to put her in. but if you insist then remove all the shampoo, detergent and etc. accident can happen. i guess she will tear up your toilet. lol. the best way is get a big kennel then padlock the kennel. or bring her to work lo. ahaha. just kidding la.

Hi,

gsd tend to be territorial and bark at stanger at later stage. maybe around 1 year old. during puppy time, it is all play and sleep. dont worry, as soon as they know this is their territory, i am sure you will just wish for your dog to keep quiet. lol.

while in the toilet, give some toys or whatever to stimulate her. if not it will be very boring and stessful.

ur female on heat? planning to sell?? let me know..
btw. 1 thing that bother me on getting gsd is.. their look when they r young.. they will look mature when they go above 1.5years?
and not to offence on the pic above.. those gsd r the same gsd? and how old r they?
the bottom left pic is the one i find ok for a gsd.. others r alil too skinny?
thats why if u got a gsd that's not a quality breed.. i think their looks can go  doh.gif

im sorry if i offended anyone.. but that's my opinion
*
Hi,

ahahaahha. dont worry. these are all not the same dogs. i think the ages varies from 9 months to 4 + here. in the top left, the gsd male is dropping lots of hair ( seasonal) that is why look like that lol. all types of breed need 1 year at least to be fully mature not only gsd. only after that time , you can see the true potential. so when you go buy a puppy at 2 months old and the breeder tell you this will be a champion, you better slap him la. almost impossible to be 100% correct on how they might look. but to expert eyes only la. i bet all gsd look almost the same to you???
