I bought a showline pure breed GSD a few months ago and now, he is 7 months old and still I haven't got my MKA cert and the breeder told me that the cert still not received.

Although our GSD is great looking and very big for a 7 months dog but do the cert takes so long to get? When got time, I will try to take a picture of him as I do think him as good looking but wish to have your comment. Thanks for recommendation and advice here before I bought the GSD.

Yes it will take long time between 3-6 month from purchase date. MKA is slow.

is TOTW for all life stages? If so you have no problem proceeding . But my intake it doesnt matter that much as long as your feeding them good food.

Well, noted~ biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Now I'm havin headache of him shitting and urinating all around the car porch.

The amount of urine and feces is mind boggling, even the frequency of him passing motion or urinating is so frequent... clean up, wash, floor haven't dry and he piss/shit again. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Wanted to toilet train him when i bring him out for a walk but he haven't take the 2nd jab of vaccine. I'm guessing I need to bear with it til after the 3rd vaccination before potty training him during his walks

at 4 months old he can only hold a maximum of 4 hours(urine) as for shit you need to know when does he needs to go out. They will usually shit right after they eat or sleep.

as long as you dont make them run on tiled surface will be fine...and also always insist to meet the parents of the puppy.

Hi,

My 17+ month girl GSD has been having hair loss around her muzzle and areas below her eyes since more than 6 months ago. The area below her muzzle is now pinkish and bleeds at times. Vet has diagnosed this condition to be Demodex sad.gif The last time I brought her to the vet for this, she had 4 injections for it (once a week for 1 month) and was on antibiotics for 1 month. Previously, she had a few more injections/antibiotics for it. The condition seems to recur now. I have tried wiping the areas with apple cider vinegar-water mixture and currently my pet shop recommends that I wipe the affected areas with her shampoo (Kelco brand) twice a week and let it soak until her next bath time. I'm hoping this will work out.

Does anyone have any experience treating this condition or can anyone advise what I can do please? I am very reluctant to bring her back to the vet for another round of injections/medications.

Thank you in advance!

HI there,

Demodex needs long term care. you will need to change his food to better food if can try grain free or boiled rice with chicken.... no other weird stuffs... You need to maintain his immune system get omega fish oil supplement(human grade 1 also can) 1 day 2 caps. Which vet are you going ? You need to give him oral shots already then it will work after that you have to maintain it. This is a genetic issue your dog is born with a low immune system. Make him happy don't let him be in stress if not it will flare again.

hi GSD owners smile.gif

contemplating to get a GS but hv heard that they can be quite prone to health problems when young. What I mean is more visits to the vet compared to most breeds. Have a Husky & Weimaraner at home now.

Any feedback would be really appreciated smile.gif

TQ TQ
