Haha ok ok. Just share what I know of k.

For bone - best is exercises , can bring him for short walks to strengthen his hips muscles . And no slippery floor . I think swimming is even better.

Skin & coat - can supplement him w coconut oil / fish oil.

Which dog food r u giving him? How do u find it on him?

For flea - I use bayticol however since yours is still very young, maybe frontline should be safer, however I don't think frontline is that effective to kill fleas. As I have tried on all my large breed dogs but it didn't seem to help much, only a little. But I heard some vets say bayticol is safe but I'm not sure myself how safe it is for small breeds or puppies. But it's really effective.

One thing you should note down is, after killing n removings all ticks n fleas get him a tick collar for prevention of ticks n fleas. Make sure to wash n clean ur surroundings with bayticol. I'm not sure if Clorox helps in killing ticks not but u can try using that to clean the surroundings where he stays or sleeps on if u do not have bayticol for the time being.

Hi, thanks for your info, its really help alot smile.gif
btw, may I know does the flea & tick can hurt the people? this 2 days I found the black insect ( i suspect is tick) in my home ( about 4-5 ekor per day). do you have any idea to prevent it?

Tick can cause tick fever , but I rarely and can say that I never seen that happen in humans here but it could.

U can use something to press them dead or use a match stick n burn em off, this is a better decision. And clean ur home with Clorox perhaps if not bayticol. Cz they can stay alive for 6months if I'm not mistaken. So u need to make ate to get rid of em permanently before it reproduces more n more later on.

I got ticks bites too! And that's even scarier the ticks was on my bed sleeping with me and on my body biting me. Pretty scary though. And the marks are still on my body even after months.....
*
It is really scary, today I found more than 6-7 ticks (black color) in my house. but, I never let my puppy go inside my house.....how come this could happen?
I direct use lighter and get it burn.....
So, you mean use clorox to clean my house floor????

Tomorrow I must go buy frontline and apply on dog body...But, will dog get poison when the dog lick his body?

Isn't it the small ones which r red in colour? Do y know ticks can crawl? Ha ha ha, I saw one crawled up to the wall of my room and another big fat one crawled up to the ceiling in my toilet, I'm unable to kill that coz it has already crawled too high up.

Frontline is safe as far as I'm concern. So no problem even if the pup licks it but try not to allow him lick immediately after u spray. It should somehow but toxic but it should be the safest for pups.

Make sure u spray it on the scalp , not on the hair.

Yea u try with Clorox n see if it helps for your floor, if it doesn't then u gotta get some bayticol n spray at d corners or the place where u found the ticks.

Hi, really thanks for your info, appreciate it smile.gif.....later will go to buy frontline.....so, I need to spray direct to his skin, not the coat right?
do you have any idea where can get the clorox? AEON got?

Season like now hot hot hot then sudden heavy rain = tick season. Pet shop will know when alot of people suddenly purchasing anti-tick from them.
My GSD had 30+ tick. Males and females together. I plucked until i pengsan.

Don't bother using the spray type. Too low concentration. Only for puppy i think less than 6 weeks old.
Anti-tick collar, if have multiple dog or your dog play in the rain and get wet = no longer effective

Get Frontline Spot-On Combo, apply once a month at the back of his neck. Tick/flea free. About RM30+ per application, some shop sell in box of 3 months supply, some open package and sell on 1 month application. It will kill all existing tick and eggs. 48 hours no contact with water on skin after application. Later if you still see ticks, u will realise they are actually dead already and drying up. thumbup.gif

Good Luck.

Frontline isn't so effective at the moment as a lot of people have been using it and not ensuring all the ticks are dead causing reccuring infestations with ticks more resistant to the poision in Frontline. Try using Advantix or Revolution (remember Revolution doubles up as Heartworm prevention as well so can't be used if you are also feeding Heartgard or have the yearly/bi-yearly heartworm injections). You can also mix a small amount of Bayticol into your mop bucket to treat the general area (Bleach also works to help deter ticks).
Often if ticks keep coming back over and over again after you clear them off your dog, it is because there is a dog in the area that is infested with ticks. It is often worth mentioning to your neighbors with dogs that it is tick season and that you have spotted a few around, check that they have been using some kind of prevention (of course do this in a friendly manner and don't accuse them of giving your dog ticks lol).

HI, thanks for your advise, at the moment, I'm using frontline combo spot for my dog, spray bayticol surrounding my house area, but, still everyday I found few ticks... and I just fire on it. smile.gif
So, have you try advantix before? is it works?
