QUOTE(gerald7 @ Oct 25 2016, 01:26 PM) well it probably is that easy ... but then again i could never achieve effects like those by VSCO. Just wanting to see what you guys feel about it. I just wish I could edit like the pros haha But personally I like digital photos not trying to be analog. Unless Im shooting the FE2 then, I like analog pics. Sometimes I feel a bit emo looking at their photos~ |

A recent shot taken with DS_Legacy for a company
Went through a lot of problems to create the shot since we don't really have much. Luckily the client was happy with the results The La Rience watches were water resistant and that's why the "water" effect La Riene Watch Studio Shoot by My Story Production, on Flickr This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Oct 26 2016, 02:28 PM |

The background of the image can be better. We were using continuous lights in taking the shot. If got more flashes and stands, we would have a slightly higher quality image. Since we were shooting at ISO 300 with continuous lights. And we need larger softboxes for better light diffusion. Notice the reflections on the watches, can be improvised one. But ayam still amateur la. Still learning with master PF T.J. |

QUOTE(gerald7 @ Oct 26 2016, 04:32 PM) Wish I could shoot like them one day. I noticed some of their shots have the couple framed in only a very small part of the final photo. The photo sort of "missing-the-point" but end up pretty refreshing since no one does that Amazing! Of course, their other photos are pretty good also... see liao will emo QUOTE(DS_Legacy @ Oct 26 2016, 04:59 PM) Hentam hentam liao can improve Actually I think the only gear we lack of was a better studio diffuser (the shot was taken with an umbrella) We also lack a video slider for the video part of the project but that's another story Lack of studio level gears. Maybe a telephoto lens would allow us to crop less but its not really necessary I suppose I think the shot will be better if we have a better venue/materials to work The room was very cramp and hot! haha The "ground" was supposed to be polished tile but ended up we could only afford plastic placed on a piece of black cloth.. The water droplets weren't very "cooperative" either haha Hopefully we will do better next time. For most product/macro shoot, the most important component is still light diffusion imho This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Oct 26 2016, 07:32 PM |

You should try shooting with light painting instead, way easier to create a soft diffused light using just one continuous light + softbox. But can't freeze the droplets la |

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Oct 28 2016, 12:50 PM) Always bojio Thanks for the advice man! Appreciate it You should try shooting with light painting instead, way easier to create a soft diffused light using just one continuous light + softbox. But can't freeze the droplets la We have a few car shooting projects and we were wondering whether long exposure with light painting OR merging strobe shots would create a better photo Any ideas or suggestions from the sifus? Thanks in advance! |
