2nd photo there lighting sphere ball is what?

But keep track of a lot of VR "goodies" hor, if you know what I mean
The light spheres are basically done by using a wire connected to LED lights, and then spun while taking a long exposure shot.
The hardest part about producing light spheres is the spinning part, it is very very difficult to get a truly rounded sphere haha.. have to ask DS_Legacy for tips, since he was the one spinning the light spheres for the shot XD

Wow... Wondering what would be improvement from the current VR 2..
vr2 is one of the best lens I've ever used..

"Pro" take photo, "noob" spin   
I wonder whether there are easier ways to get better spheres

Wish I could shoot like them one day.
I noticed some of their shots have the couple framed in only a very small part of the final photo. The photo sort of "missing-the-point" but end up pretty refreshing since no one does that

Of course, their other photos are pretty good also... see liao will emo 
Actually I think the only gear we lack of was a better studio diffuser (the shot was taken with an umbrella) We also lack a video slider for the video part of the project but that's another story
Maybe a telephoto lens would allow us to crop less but its not really necessary I suppose
I think the shot will be better if we have a better venue/materials to work The room was very cramp and hot! haha
The "ground" was supposed to be polished tile but ended up we could only afford plastic placed on a piece of black cloth.. The water droplets weren't very "cooperative" either haha
Hopefully we will do better next time. For most product/macro shoot, the most important component is still light diffusion imho

I love the 3rd shot, damn majestic!
I remembered my last visit to KL birdpark, I had a wonderful experience. I love how many the birds are allowed to roam freely.
I've promised to re-visit the place again when I have a telephoto lens haha, really looking forward to it!

just one thing tho.. i noticed focus point is somewhere on the cheek/neck..
its understandable since we like trained to find high contrast are to lock focus?
but i recently read anyhow portrait must focus on the eye. profile - eye, sides - near eye.
esp with very shallow dof.. to me its vr hard to do

By the way how many of you use back button focus when taking photos?

me, using 58mm 1.4 + 70-200vr2, but best bang for the buck is 85mm 1.8 imho...

58 1.4 is a beast but pricey

Read reviews but it says 1.8G has slower focus. Is it true?

The rolling shot proved to be most challenging since the road is very short and "laden" with an abundance of cow dung! Not only do we have to keep both cars straight and within the same distance, we had to make sure to dodge all the cow poop too!

The BMW shoot was again not up to our expectations as we couldn't find any road that is long and wide enough, especially when shooting at a place strange to us... have to make do 
We've also noticed that glossy paint seems to reflect light differently and normal strobes may not work properly.

Apparently the car carrying the photographer has to be chosen wisely as well as some cars have very very narrow windows, can't even lean my body out

Hopefully things will be better in the upcoming shoot

HRV shoot coming up. Any new ideas? Thinking of a night shoot, but have no idea what to do

Should've asked Oscar (putochip123) to wear brighter-coloured clothes (at least the shirt/pants). We always forget to add in the reflector at the bottom of the strobe light . If we had more time, a 2nd light coming from the right would be nice as well . That way the shadows cast on the car by the model can be minimized; and I think overall the shot will look less like Oscar is being "photoshopped" into the photo

heh, when you put hooman subject in front of car, then primary will look at hooman lor.. so becomes portrait. Im not so experienced in that area so I guess I will give 2 thumbs up for the portrait.  hehehe
