QUOTE(blancpain4470 @ Jan 7 2020, 09:57 AM) It is wireless as? Wireless connectivity but needs wired power connection. No battery. Mine is gated and guarded and don't really need to have fancy self powered or solar powered unit So the usual wireless camera, I was expecting something like xiaomi xiaobai with built in battery. |

QUOTE(steevan1000 @ Jun 1 2021, 08:59 AM) it's jz small cctv with microSD card for indoor home use, need to setup server too? All cameras now already got server automatically setup with respective company. so this means i can access the camera & the communication feature thru handphone right? That’s how you’re able to view the cctv remotely even you’re not on your home wifi network Unless you’re paranoid about them spying on you then you’d just setup your own server |

QUOTE(Minolta @ Aug 5 2021, 01:09 AM) Wondering if anyone here tried software like Blue Iris on existing PC, connecting to multiple cctvs via a switch, instead of using an NVR. Have some old unused PCs lying around, so thinking of trying that. But Blue Iris software cost like RM350. Maybe you ought to try free alternative first before purchasing it.Try frigate, it's free and using ai for object detection |

QUOTE(z800r @ Aug 28 2021, 07:43 PM) Hi. I have few questions and need you guys suggestion. 4)I would like to install cctv in my orchard / kebun. 1. My kebun doesnt have internet connection at the moment. But maybe i can apply for streamyx. No unifi of course. 2. From the front gate of our orchard to our small house in the back of the orchard (where i plan to put the dvr, router and power supply), around 400meters. It is a big orchard/kebun. So maybe i need 2000m length of wire for the cctv (coaxial / power supply / poe) all around my kebun. 3. I want to install the cctv at few places, such as at the front gate, the small house, a store room where i kept my machines/tools, another 1 or 2 cctv overlooking my kebun. So around 5-6 cctv needed. I want to view all the cctv through my phone also as im not in the kebun 24/7. And want to get notification if there is any unwanted movement. And i need a cctv that detect car movement and will notify me about car movement near the front gate / small house. 4. So now i have few options for the cctv: A) Reolink 4g solar cctv cost around rm1k each. And i need a sim card with unlimited internet connection for each cctv. 4g connection a bit poor in my kebun. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Need 5-6 cctvs, rm1k each. And need 5-6 sim cards with unlimited internet connection. Or just get a cheap 4g solar cctv from shopee, around rm400 each B) i apply for streamyx and install reolink / tapo c310 in my kebun. But the distance from the front gate to the house (router, power supply) is about 400meters. Sure cannot get wifi. This is the problem C) still apply for streamyx. And install hikvision cctv with dvr and poe, and just use cable/wire all the way from the front gate to the house (router, power supply). This one is much cheaper options. So, any other suggestion? And which is the best idea for me to setup the cctv? Thanks C) Instead of streamyx, go for 4g unlimited like unifi or from other telcos. There's a post I read on FB using some of signal gun or signal booster to boost signal significantly if signal coverage not that great. This is one is definitely best & cheapest, since you connect camera using POE and you can add on UPS some more if blackout happens. |
