Trying to figure out cctv setup for my house. I have laid Cat6 cables during renovation with 2 outdoor and 2 indoor.
I have checked taobao is selling package deal for very attractive price, a HIK Vision NVR with 4 nos IP 4mp night vision camera costs only about RM1.3k, excluding the HDD. Is there any catch for buying china set other than the OS language is in Chinese. I read there is some concern with IPC(?), may i know what is that?

requirement as per below:-

3g/4g connectivity
360 cam
24/7 cloud storage backup-how many days need to keep (need pay & depends on internet speed, might as well used sdcard unless prone to theft)

Once the theft break into your house, first thing they will break you CCTV source if they found it.

Problem with cloud storage is subscription. Personally I'll rather get Reolink RLC410 camera with SD card slot + NAS drive. So if thief very diligent go find the NVR and take it, i still have SD card and NAS backup. Plus can set up NAS to backup footage to GDrive or AWS S3 after midnight or when everybody is out for work, so wont be fighting for internet bandwidth.

I have a 4 channels AVTECh DVR but only 3 channels are in used which connected to CCTV Camera.
I planned to get a mic to connect to the last available channel - channel 4  which is not in used by any cctv camera.
is that possible ? will it works and record the voice to DVR ?

Hi! Those using ezviz c1c indoor cameras. Let’s say if I want to face this camera to a window to look outside the house. Would the reflection from the glass affect the camera when using night vision ? Understand for some cameras, the night vision lights from the camera will cause flares thus making the camera useless at night. Thank you.

But I turn off night vision. Can see quite clearly just that not sharp.

We deal with Ezviz ctc 720 so far the quality is clear depend on how far u want to see and when zoom of cause it will become blur abit because 720 only. Some more it's only RM110/= only for an IP camera with multi functions can expect much. In the app u can adjust the view quality from normal to clear and clearer but the higher u set the more data it'll need to get the image from the camera.
