Personally I prefer to collect in person than delivery, for the excitement as well as confirmation (at least I know I will get it for sure as long as I’m there), dislike the odd hour waiting for delivery (and disappointment from changes of date) and to avoid mishandling from courier people..had a few deliveries with damaged boxes and would assume the impact was bad to have caused such dents…

My friend who bought from maxis told me that the delivery is done by maxis people and they need to verify u before handing u the phone. U can choose which day u want the phone be delivered to u as well.

I don't think the delivery is done by maxis people, they uses courier services for delivery, can't remember which courier they use, need someone else to confirm this.. but yes they require to verify NRIC before handing you the phone..

Ohhh, okay. Maybe maxis users who got their new phone through delivery can share some experience like how's the parcel packaging good or bad, punctuality etc.

Apparently they uses Brightstar, which is quite good..

If not mistaken the Rm300 is a non refundable deposit.. however you can try talk to them and see if they can rebate you back via bill..

Went to Maxis Centre to get the phone on contract, they said the stocks remaining is only for NEW LINE/NUMBER. I’m disgusted with how Maxis treat their existing customers. So everytime new phone come out must get a new line?

They ask me to order online and can choose to collect in store instead. Does anyone have encountered similar thing?

Edit: even go on their website also not available for delivery nor pickup. No stock. Chip shortage is that severe eh?

which maxis centre branch did you go ?

U visited official maxis centre or maxis partner stores? I know certain maxis partner stores doesn't let u purchase the phone unless u get a new line. Official maxis centre shouldn't have this problem.

official maxis walk in centers do not (and cannot) have such restrictions for existing line recontact, only the dealers and partners put such restrictions to gain more sales from new port ins..

Yup, that's why i hate visiting those partner/dealer stores. I usually visit sunway pyramid the top floor one.

Yea ill only get things done at official walk in centers, had a few bad experience with partners/dealers where my info were no where to be found in maxis system, turns out the dealers were using old systems and takes time to transfer to their main system

not the worst, there was once I signed up home fiber from a dealer coz they give special rebates, ended up waited for a month without update, after all the empty follow ups and waits, to find out that the registration actually failed and was not informed etc etc... straight went to official walk in and get it settled..

Wow seriously, no comment on that.
Btw, i managed to place an order for 13 pro 256gb on maxis store, should be receiving it on the 19th next week.
