Hi everyone, how’s it going?

Went to Maxis Centre to get the phone on contract, they said the stocks remaining is only for NEW LINE/NUMBER. I’m disgusted with how Maxis treat their existing customers. So everytime new phone come out must get a new line?

They ask me to order online and can choose to collect in store instead. Does anyone have encountered similar thing?

Edit: even go on their website also not available for delivery nor pickup. No stock. Chip shortage is that severe eh?

I think he meant online. Doesn’t make sense to walk in and pre-order, physical stores usually have limited stocks. I might be wrong though.

With chip shortages, most will only get their phone next year and by the time comes people are already hyping/waiting for the 14 series.

Side note: the Maxis center I went is indeed a center by Maxis, not dealer/partner. I guess the staff is either new or just crapping on me.

Called 123 and they said center should be able to serve existing customers to buy the phone, not just new subscribers. Also said, if I got the same excuse from the center’s sales agent, call 123 and they’ll speak with the sales agent.

Never have I ever had to deal so much just to get a damn phone from a telco.

Checking online on website isn’t always accurate as most people here say.
