Hi, i bought my proton supremo in 2014 july. By 2016, I've started to hear screeching noise from the brakes. many times proton dealer recommended to just do skimming.

Now they say need to replace brake rotors front and rear + brake pad front and rear at RM 764.80.

Can i know if anyone faced this similar issue? Could it be a defective rotor, since this is a new car?

I'm considering the Michelin primacy 3 ST for the car. Anyone changed to it?

Is there significant difference in quietness compared to the stock Achilles tyres?
I really want to get it but I fear my wife will make noise that I'm wasting money.

So if  there there is a major change in it being quieter I'd appreciate the feedback. I want to live a long life.

Any reason for the change in brand? Would you consider Dunlop a sidegrade or downgrade compared to Primacy ST? Thinking of Primacy too for my next change.

I just bought the primacy ST from Top gold tyre in PJ. Rm365 before gst. I can't believe the price. Made in 2016 2nd half too. It's very comfy & quiet so im very happy. Thank you!

My car is 43 months old and 34k. I follow mileage. Service at the same protonedar. They seem to allow by mileage service. if not my car is considered over serviced since I rarely hit mileage target. They layan my warranty claims as well.

Ya, I agreed. It's useless unless replace with a camera or use as auto brake or adaptive cruise control to slow down when there's car in front.
I'm a lousy driver. Once I didn't estimate properly the divider in front then scratch. The car next to me look at me in surprise and said wah so loud the scratch sound. Another time reverse didn't notice the wall hit at the corner of the bumper. Lucky not serious, the plastic hook dislocated and can just manually push back the bumper.

Sometimes it would be useful when we want to squeeze through car blocking partially the road exit at traffic light. It would also help when we want to do side parking and can avoid the side manhole where most of the time the metal grille got stolen.

Does anybody know what suspension bushings the suprima uses? Rubber or Polyurethane?

How much does the bushings cost anyway?
I'm wondering if I change it to better rubber ones if available it will reduce road boom/noise over rough surfaces

Thank you. I'm already on the primacy 3st, looks like the only other option to apply those good ol bitumen mats like brown bread or dynamat etc. My last satria gti had good sound deadening all over as I was into sound quality lol.

The suprima cabin is already very quiet, but as we can expect low profile tyres with firm  suspension its more prone to road boom.

The rear boot cover I added some foam padding & soundproofing strips around it so it's air tight, so far it helps a lot with the noise from the boot area

hi guys, doees anyone know why the suprima s sometimes feels sluggish? is cvt the culprit? or it is normal for a car like this..wife told me that the car feels heavy after she brake n pass a speed bump(brake then throttle)..how to fix this issue? is this kind of problems major or minor?

do the grounding cable 6 point really helps? for our suprima s? for fuel effieciency and performance wise?

Just had my 40k KM service (4 years in September). Change those 3 gear oil (even though supposed to be 60k KM (3 years) since its already 4 years. Spark plugs as well. Well overdue in terms of time. All in all, cost of service came down to about RM 1.1k

Found out exhaust muffler got a hole at the curved end about 2" wide. Proton says it is not covered under warranty. Only engine and gearbox is covered in the 5 year warranty. Is this true? So I had to go to an exhaust shop and change the muffler for RM350 (stainless steel).

Also the rubber seal at the driver door crack (most probably due to seatbelt being latched there while I tried to shut the door. The SC said that it is not covered under warranty. All other parts are only covered 3 years. So I assume that is safe to change the HU now? Since only the engine and gearbox covered left.

Do you have the details what are covered under 5 years and what are covered under 3 years for this car?
The service booklet information is kind of not clear.
