If you want, you can call to cancel and wait for retention department to call you but that's not guaranteed as they can choose to waive or not.

u should be already aware about AF since day 1 when you apply this card, right?

It depends some cards are really good and cannot be easily replaced by other cards but One Card is disposable.

1st attempt they tried, and sms said cant waive.
2nd attempt, called say want to cancel..
They said will try to waive, if they can't waive, they can cancel without paying any AF with condition, I do not swipe any transaction from the date I get AF.

u cannot simply follow others. some gotten 1yr, some 2yrs, some 3yrs, some don't get it.

the discretion is up to the bank. we don't know what criteria for the waiver, if any.

as such, for any AF card, it's our own responsibility and agreement to pay the AF come anniversary upon signup. AF waiver request may work for others but may not be applicable to u.


take YOLO, bank rep said I should keep using and ask for waiver on year 2. but I doubt about their promise and will make sure to cancel it later. I don't want to pay AF as well. year 1 is FOC. so I don't mind applying it. but for sure will not keep for longer period.

haiz...thinking to apply supplementary for each and other (myself & husband) in order to maximise the 5 swipe cash back RM 50. 2 principle + 2 supplementary card and go to petrol station. if a week can get RM 200, i think worth to do it over the mid night.

For separate cash back, so far I know only CIMB CR and PBB VS.

Mine have to call in for 3rd year annual fee but my spending above 10k, so they waive without any hesitation.
