General question:

Are merchants still being charged by banks for cc service? Some merchants still refuse to accept cc and charge 2% for that service.

for business 2% charges actually cheaper compared to the cost of cash. Cash has to be managed: it must be stored, guarded, It could be difficult to transport and insecure. the cost of cash is actually higher than the cc 2% charges.

I fully agree with you. But, some stingy bosses still instruct their employees to encourage the customers to pay with cash, rather than with credit cards. The employees have no choice, but to go to cash deposit machine to deposit the proceeds of the day every night. What if the money is robbed by snatch thief? For sure, these stingy bosses will hold the helpless employees accountable for the losses.

Based on the rules set by Visa and MasterCard, it is wrongful to pass down the credit card interchange fee from the merchant to customers.

Hi guys, 1 got 2 questions want to ask.

1. recently I been double charged on my Mastercard Maybank 2 Gold when I bought road tax using MyEG. The issue been handled by MyEG and they recognized that they double charge me. So now, should I pay first the amount or wait until they refund? Will I be charge of interest if I choose to refuse paying the double charge? Because it quite a bit of amount there sweat.gif sweat.gif

2. I seeing many people using cash voucher at AEON Jusco. Mind you it not just RM100 or RM200 voucher. Some of them have a book of the voucher lol sweat.gif
So I wondering how they get that many cash voucher? In my knowledge, I only use TP to redeem the voucher but to be able to get A BOOK of voucher it really something lol. So maybe there are cards or ways to maximizing getting the AEON Jusco cash voucher?

Many thanks!

Some companies give out vouchers as lucky draw during annual event. AEON cash voucher is top of their choice compared to other cash vouchers.

On question 2, probably accumulated since day 1, before this they dont have expiry date. They came out with an expiry mid last year, that could be the reason people clearing off their accumulated vouchers. I myself cleared it last year. biggrin.gif

You can use AmEx to purchase MacBook online, I presume from Apple Store.
About 0% interest, I don't think so...

If you want 0% interest, you can try Epicentre. They have 0% for Maybank cards and AmEx can do 0% installment there. smile.gif

Nope. You need the visa infinite, wmc series. These 5* hotels know what they are doing and will automatically give you discount when you give them your card.

Apply citibank card if you want the discount. It applies to all citi cards.
