Just wait for Samsung Malaysia to sort out. If opt for exchange, wonder what lousy freebies they going to give to compensate i.e tempered glass?

If refund, is there any compensation for the customers who go through all the hassles for example travelling cost, trouble to do all the backup and transfer and etc.

Hope Samsung Malaysia will sort this out soon.

Maybe internally, they know they can get "fat compensation" from the note 7. tongue.gif

I doubt so. Even Samsung doesn't know what is the cause at the moment, how can they tell MY set is safe.

Note 7 fiasco could burn a $17 billion hole in Samsung accounts
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-samsung-...s-idUSKCN12B0FX

...South Korea's Hankyoreh newspaper, citing unnamed sources, said on Tuesday Samsung will likely stop Note 7 sales permanently. Samsung did not comment on the report...

...."By the time they fix the problem they have to go through recertification and requalification and by the time that happens, they're going up against the (Galaxy) S8 launch."....

....."They need to be writing to every customer with an apology and some form of 'compensation'... It will clearly be costly for the company but the alternative is to end up going the way of Nokia and Blackberry."

Samsung also faces lawsuits, with at least two consumers taking the company to the court in the United States to claim compensation on damages stemming from the faulty smartphone.....

But with S8 around the corner, does this option make any sense?

Actually, come to think of it, if N7 is really halted, we are the only small group in Malaysia that actually owned and played it.

Pretty exclusive! (consoling myself)

Only 2 device in my mind that can replace N7.
1. One Plus 3
2. LG V20

i just realised sth...

SME comes out being the happy party here...

first recall... gave dem cheap non-Samsung branded glass SP and screen crack warranty... now we can't even use screen crack warranty. essentially, compensation that is... NOTHING.

at least some countries got discounted Gear VR, etc... dem... for all that hassle, etc...
