Hi all,
I just got my first statement for MBB Barcelona cc and I do not see any cb. My recorded expenses for the month include online shopping, petrol, card sst. May I know how will the cb be reflected?

*i am used to pb & affin cc which deducts your payable balance and this is recorded in the statement.

Many thanks in advance...

It works differently from PBB and affin. Initial phase you might find it rather confusing.

Yes, you have to, especially if you do not have any new debit transaction after your statement.

Maybank not allow overpayment to your credit card account. Let's say if you try to overpay (without deducting your cashback) using ur m2u savings account, the whole amount will be bounced back to you immediately.

Yes I know.
But Rule of thumb - always pay statement balance by the due date to avoid CC interest.
Who knows Maybank one day won't treat monthly rebate as a payment!

I am searching any cash back credit card to replace PBB VS after PBB decrease the cash rebate from 6% to 3% for groceries...

I found Maybank Visa Signature is giving 5% cash rebate for groceries and petrol (everyday).

I understand that it don't need minimum spending, don't need spend on weekend. Any other terms and condition need to be met in order to get 5% cash rebate for groceries? I mainly spend at Jaya Grocer and AEON BIG.

The catch for this card is the 30k spend to get the annual fee waiver.

The actual cashback itself has less weird t&c tied to it unlike other bank cards.

Hi, for Visa Signature, would reloading touchngo cards fall into groceries category?

Jaya grocer, Aeon big, Aeon, Aeon Max Value, NSK premium etc is under groceries right?

Is Maybank really strict on the RM30k spend per annum to waive annual fee?

only if you reload your TnG cards at Jaya Grocer. Some outlets allow CC reload but will be subjected to 50 cents service fee per reload

When i held the card, around 4 years back, yes, super strict.
There was no chance of a waiver if you do not meet the minimum spend.
So ended up cancelling the card.

Not too sure if its changed now.

technically maybank didnt change their policy on AF... thus if not meeting the minimum spend no way to wave AF...

but can use their TP to offset... (you value yourself...)
