Hi, i am thinking about cancelling my Visa from the Maybank 2 cards, keep the Amex and apply for Visa Signature.

Does anyone know if the to waive the yearly AF, supplementary card usage is also counted? Same for cashback entitlement too, from all cards spending?

If you referring to Maybank Visa Signature then so far no annual fee waiver, unless you hit minimum spending

Hi, I just tried to use my Barcelona Visa on casetify website (amount was in USD) and it was rejected. I tried my sister's card too from Maybank (the basic gold card) also the same thing. However, when I used HLB's credit card, it managed to go through.

Anyone know if Maybank doesn't allow credit cards to be used for overseas transaction? Or do we need to enable it somehow beforehand?

Maybank does maintenance around midnight. Not sure if it affects credit cards but that might have something to do with it.

Just received call from maybank offering maybank visa signature card. Okay ka?

All this is stated at the bank website already.

I managed to get a waiver on a 12k annual spend last year. Got rejected 2 times. Finally had to pull a high connection which won't be available to most people so it fair to say it's near impossible.

Hey everyone. Last week, I applied for this card, and it wasn't approved. They didn't tell me the reason why they rejected me. I tried asking, but none of them did.

My ECRIS record is all good with no payment delay.
I was told to manually register (email all documents) by one of the reps.

Would it be better to repeat this application (I'm looking for a rebate of RM 88) or try applying for another card?

As I'm still struggling, I worry if they reject my application for this card, will it affect or appear on my ECCRIS record?

Rejecting doesn't affect record.

If you want to re-apply, do it after 6 months cool off period

Hi guys, Not sure if its been discussed before but would like to clarify..

My credit card only allow cash back for merchant with MCC 5411, 5422 & 5451. I see under category 5411 there is 99 speed mart, Giant and etc..

Is it safe to assume that all 99 outlets, Giant and etc also falls under this MCC code?

And also for MCC 5541 (Service Stations (with/without ancillary services), if I were to purchase items from the station store i.e. Kedai Mesra or Shell Select, would the cash back be applicable too?

1) yes, generally giant, 99sm, kkmart are all using MCC5411 (grocery). be careful of Aeon Supermarket, sometimes they mixed up using terminals from their GMS section and your payment would be identified as Departmental category (MCC 5311) instead

2) generally yes for MCC 5541 service station. anything you purchase inside, are using MCC 5541. however, some caveats too. some stations doesnt use MCC 5541 too. some may be using different MCC.

all in all, you gotta do some trial and errors to find out your preferred locations are using which MCC.

Are you saying:
a) apply same credit card?
b) or apply with Maybank, but with a different credit card?
c) don't apply for any other bank credit card until after six months
