ok, my concern is I have to cancel some cards because they might think I have too many

Prefer to cold storage a card rather then cancel it because maybe I need the CL some day

I should just try to apply Barca, once ringgitplus offers it with the free gifts
*
again, card count isnt just one of the reason for rejection.

some ppl have a dozen or 2 dozen cards also get approved.

o lol guess i m lucky to get approved for minimum CL then rather then rejected. doh.gif
*
this is the RIGHT kind of thinking!

if maximize the card's cb, only up to RM2.5k (2%/RM50) or RM1k (10%/RM100) spending per month. you still have few Ks of CL buffer for BT smile.gif

dont worry la, start with low CL, then increase it once income is at blossoming level biggrin.gif

Dear Shifus, Does your FCB Visa Signature cc appear in the Jompay as part of listed the payment account in Maybank2u like other Maybank Visa/Mastercard CC? Wanted to pay some bills through M2U Jompay..
*
nope, FCB VS not listed under jompay.

QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Oct 30 2017, 08:07 AM)
That is because you alrdy reach rm250 limit, the machine will then prompt to plug in the card with pin entered. Once done, your contactless limit is reset.
*
QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Oct 30 2017, 08:30 AM)
The limit is not per day.
*
QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Oct 30 2017, 08:34 AM)
No duration, as long as you haven’t  plug ur card in, it will decline any further contactless txn. Its like a security feature to prevent unlimited taps. But it differs from banks and type of cards you have.
*
QUOTE(confuzan @ Oct 30 2017, 05:51 PM)
not able to use samsung pay for transaction more than RM250 today, got an sms saying i have exceeded my "cumulative contactless transaction amount limit" and asked me to call CS to increase the limit. but CS is unsure and unable to really explain the sms and why my transaction can't go through.

previously i was able to use samsung pay on my 2kard visa for transaction more than RM250. i just need to enter the PIN after i tap my phone.

i was under the impression that it should be same as visa paywave where transaction below RM250 does not need a PIN and more than RM250 needs to wave + PIN.
*
maybe the replies above from /k/ can shed some lights.

i'm also wasnt aware got such "limit" is in effect sweat.gif

CS got back to me with a clearer explanation. and yes, the limit is RM250 and can be lowered but not increased beyond RM250.

but then, from visa's website, notice the part for transaction above RM250.
[attachmentid=9285666]
this wave and PIN works for my visa 2kard, but not on my barcelona card. both attempts using samsung pay.

anyway, shall try to attempt again.
*
probably the fcb vs card is too new hmm.gif

however, the message ""cumulative contactless transaction amount limit"" is really misleading and confusing laugh.gif

2% cashback seems interesting seeing that most cash rebate credit card retail spent is 0.2%.. thanks for those info ya.. maybe wanna apply for 1, cancel my cimb cash rebate.
*
exactly

2% darn good for misc stuffs, like insurance, condo maintenance, automobile and tyre service, college fees, clothing, shoes, bags, diamonds! cool2.gif, etc

i already shifted RM1.5k from these misc stuffs to FCB VS.

other cards may be good for these but they are limited to tired cb or specific categories.

Tomorrow will be the moment of truth to see whether the FCB VS cashback is as straightforward as we deem it to be, assuming that Maybank credits the cashback into our account on the 1st of the month like M2Cards.
*
u cant see the cb on 1st of each month. it's only viewable on the 2nd.

U can use public bank quantum master card and pay your insurance online (provided your insurance provider has the online payment option) smile.gif
*
sadly, not all insurance provider has it, hence the good thing about FCB VS lor

also some ppl's insurance is high, it'll used up the cb quota as well.

OT: if u have 1500 spending, u should shift to SCB Gold cashback unless ur 1500 comprise more than 900 is insurance..
*
nope, insurance very low, that's why SCB Gold will never work in my favor

That’s y I said SCB Gold will give u more cashback than MBB FCB if u can hit spending of RM1500 anything except petrol and insurance.. SCB gave u RM50 vs. MBB FCB of RM30 for the RM1500 spending u make..
*
again, i already studied SCB cards before. wont work for me anyway because i dont spend RM1.5k for misc stuffs. i prefer straightforward cashback card for misc usages (which is again, less than few hundreds per month)

Would like to ask, the cash back showed in m2u seem 1 or 2 cents less than myself calculated.
For example,
Ikhwan Visa self calculated is 17.26 while m2u showed 17.24
Ikhwan MC self calculated is 17.08 while m2u showed 17.05
Amex self calculated is 50 while m2u showed 49.99
Is it normal ?
TQ very much.
