anyone had luck in waiving SST RM25?
*
SST cannot be waived as it is paid to government.
Some banks will credit RM 25 to us (whether you use to pay SST or not, that's not the concern) but no luck for MBB. You have to pay for it.

I heard can use 10k TP to pay for Maybank 2 Cards,
any luck for the Maybank Barcelona VS? Thanks.
*
Oh ya, forgot can redeem with 10k TP. I supposed Barcelona VS should be OK.
Next month I will know because I got my card on the first day of Barcelona VS launching. tongue.gif

Wow, talk about up-to-date and high efficiency!
Do tell us if you're successful then, thanks!

I'm not sure if it will really charge me next month which I think it will and my card expiry follows the M2Cards which is April.
Let's see.

Anyone still holding their VS card?
Other than 5% cashback alongside with treat points I don't see any other benefits. No more premium lounge and ETCS. Issit worth to keep after SST implementation? Thanks
*
Simple, if you get full cash back RM 88 or at least more than RM 25 per month then keep but bear in mind, it also has AF. You will need to spend enough to meet the minimum spending requirement.

Ok, thanks for your info.

Seems like this card only peak spending on May and Aug every year.
The rest of the month is in freezer... laugh.gif

2% for everything is good for general usage. I still charge my insurance here.

This card don't have AF right? So do I need to pay other thing like service and sales tax every right?
*
Generic VS has AF. FCB VS doesn't have AF.
SST still needs to be paid every year regardless if it has AF or not. AF is to be paid to banks while SST is to the government.

It's an entry level or a lower tiered VS.
Its income requirement is RM 40k which is even lower than usual Platinum level of RM 60k (Ikhwan Platinum as a reference).
*
RM 48k actually but still super low for VS.

based on MBB's charging logic, should be charged by 15 November (based on expiry on Oct).
*
If like this not so fair right if only having less than a year? unsure.gif
My case is I'm luckier because my card's expiry date is April though I got my FCB VS on last year's Oct. laugh.gif

that's the problem with diff bank implementing different method of charging

lucky for 1 cycle only  laugh.gif , once everything "normalized", all follows the same time anyway smile.gif
*
I hope only Maybank does this and not other banks. sweat.gif
I was expecting my FCB VS to be charged in my latest statement, looks like it will not happen then.

What card are you using? MBB VS? MBB VS is 50k annual spending. Not 30k. Better read from TnC. U can call bank to dispute say misleading information. Most of the time they will waive for u coz they scared bank negara repercussions.
*
Already reduced to 30k per annum.

does cash advance/withdrawal count towards  rm30k spend to waived annual fees?
*
QUOTE(beebee1314 @ Oct 21 2018, 02:28 PM)
Can see the website says so. But open TnC say 50k. Misleading from both sides. Anyway since he spent 30k anyway. Just call bank and tell them waive lo. Easy
*
Usually cash advance will not be calculated as spending.

Maybank Visa Signature OR Maybank Visa Barcelona Visa Signature

Used to have both but cancelled the generic VS, now left with FCB VS only.
I do miss the generic VS especially when I do groceries, just PayWave and earn cash back everyday. However, I cannot spend so much, so cancelled it eventually.
This card is useful for groceries and petrol.
Now with SST, I don't think I will re-apply again.

As for FCB VS, no AF and can be used for all categories.

Anybody has redeemed your Treatspoints for FCB Service Tax Fee?

Kindly be informed that we can only proceed with Service Tax Treatspoints redemption for Maybank 2 Cards Amex since Maybank Visa Signature Barcelona is a Cash Back card. Hence, you are required to pay the Service Tax fee for the said card. We seek your kind understanding on this.
*
Seriously? Mine will only be charged next year's April and plan to offset with TP as well. Now this news strikes. doh.gif

exactly. i just had a lengthy call with MBB CS. their stand is NO SST redemption for cards that doesnt earn TP  doh.gif

took them sometime to dug out my voice calls cuz their CS previously confirmed otherwise. so, i disputed them having conflicting answers to customer  laugh.gif

let's see how they respond back.

Oh my. Luckily they have your voice calls, update us later. biggrin.gif

If given a choice, I will prefer to use TP since I have them rather than paying with cash. Well, that's my thought, not about the money. smile.gif

Agree, sometime it is the principle that make us feel like disputing..

TP exchanges to voucher is actually not useful to me as I force to go to those shop to spend, therefore,  I prefer redemption to cash..

Now I wonder, if my visa signature didn’t earn enough point, can I use m2platinum point to redeem for visa signature, as visa signature is cashback with TP feature card
*
Yes, after all RM 25 is not really a lot but seeing my TP growing but cannot use to offset SST aches my heart a bit. sad.gif

If they change this policy, I will be hit because I will be charged only in next year's April. Sigh.
