Rules are set by the bank to protect themselves (so if your wife swipe you're liable since you're not supposed to be letting her swipe), doesn't make it unethical for the bank.

It can be seen as unethical for you to breach the bank's T&C, but the banks won't see it as themselves breaching ethical rule.

Nothing is 'hacked', scammer just needs a CC number (easily obtained, can even randomly generate) and your CVV code (I think there's only like 3-4 codes total, so it's not actually secure).

AMEX is just inherently insecure, and the company prefer to pay out compensations, cheaper than fixing their system.

A customer holding Maybank Barcelona may spend 800 a month and earn rm16. Maybank earns the merchant rate (which is less, let's put it at 1% for ease of counting which means they earn rm8)

That same customer who has and uses BigPay now will definitely spend 2.5k a month (remainder on BigPay reload) and earn rm50 from Maybank. Maybank earns rm25 from merchant rate. They lose more.

Maybank makes back profit from things like late payment and other fees. All of which depends on organic (real) spending, which would justify the losses they incur by giving the cashback. Spending on BigPay doesn't give them the same benefit since it just gets withdrawn as cash which can pay back the CC bill, and it's not even to a partner of MBB (e.g. those exclusive dining bills etc) which would help offset .

For the next few months sure got people pop in to ask "I heard/read that can get cashback on BP reload, is that true?".....

Anyone having issue using the FCB card? Failed multiple times on shopee, called CS said that merchant cancelled transaction, not card problem.
