QUOTE(Tigerr @ Sep 6 2018, 02:17 PM) Rules are set by the bank to protect themselves (so if your wife swipe you're liable since you're not supposed to be letting her swipe), doesn't make it unethical for the bank.It can be seen as unethical for you to breach the bank's T&C, but the banks won't see it as themselves breaching ethical rule. This topic is unending,, last time we discussed this (few versions of thread ago) mod just came in with one conclusion - T&C say it's not allowed, end of discussion. |

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ Sep 14 2018, 12:59 PM) Nothing is 'hacked', scammer just needs a CC number (easily obtained, can even randomly generate) and your CVV code (I think there's only like 3-4 codes total, so it's not actually secure).AMEX is just inherently insecure, and the company prefer to pay out compensations, cheaper than fixing their system. |

QUOTE(kino318 @ Dec 1 2018, 04:00 PM) nothing personal. Ever heard of 'don't put all your eggs in one cart'?But i think u guys focus on the wrong thg, max u can save is only rm50 per month. but if u focus in biz, jobs.. the return is unlimited. no need to spend too much time. Also risk appetite, a lot of these savings are confirm-sure zero risk. For some it's not worth the time, which is not wrong also. |

QUOTE(raul88 @ May 13 2019, 01:56 PM) Should i apply for another cc since maybank didnt reward utilities spending anymore UOB YOLO, 8% cashback (swipe 16 times, so just do 15XRM10 and top up the rest on the 16th swipe). And what is the most suitable card for utilities spending only (may combine with other categories) I feel wasted every month paying rm200+ without getting any benefit For RM200 you get RM16 per month. |

QUOTE(Gabriel03 @ Jun 23 2019, 01:06 PM) For my understanding, for banks including Maybank, their profit remains the same as they charge the same merchant rate whether it's eWallet top up or other retail transaction. That same customer who has and uses BigPay now will definitely spend 2.5k a month (remainder on BigPay reload) and earn rm50 from Maybank. Maybank earns rm25 from merchant rate. They lose more. Maybank makes back profit from things like late payment and other fees. All of which depends on organic (real) spending, which would justify the losses they incur by giving the cashback. Spending on BigPay doesn't give them the same benefit since it just gets withdrawn as cash which can pay back the CC bill, and it's not even to a partner of MBB (e.g. those exclusive dining bills etc) which would help offset . |

Anyone having issue using the FCB card? Failed multiple times on shopee, called CS said that merchant cancelled transaction, not card problem.
