Just say wave

You can't expect Senheng staff know what is going on. They have some old terminal that don't support contactless payment at all. I tried to make payment with SC Master, they dig out an old terminal and power on it, but that terminal don't support contactless. End up I have to pay with my MBB Visa and wave it from my AW.

Which bank ?
Im not sure is it limit by the card machine as well. Weird

If not ready then they shouldn't put out the banner - " We accept Apple Pay Here " in the first place.
Such a big banner placing there and still not educate after 1 week + ?

why dai dai have to mention apple pay leh...just tell them wave then they will understand.

to me i always tell them that i want to use "wave" instead of apple pay, cuz i dont expect everyone would know what it's called apple pay.

Because there is no benefit to educate their sales agent. I think Senheng don't really care because it doesn't matter to them. Their online and retail different system, always no stock in warehouse, items more expensive then other electronic store. I go there simply want to finish my s-coin.

I did tell them it is same as wave saja but they don't wanna proceed also

It's one of the cashier job to be educated.
Last time they even dunno apa itu "duitnow" when it's start surfacing Only give excuses.

when you have expectation, it will brings you disappointment.
it's true not everyone understand, even their job role as cashier and didn't try to hands-on to those new features.

i just feeling weird, i almost fail all card machine that looks bigger and older. but can support wave punya

Yes, it's an excuse. But it's not our job to educate them. If they refuse to use AP, you may report/complain to Senheng.

Senheng should have no problem understanding what apple pay is since they got apple pay banner and that small card banner at the counter. Moreover, their name are mention in apple malaysia website as one of the supported merchant. With all that, it is not wrong to assume that they should know what apple pay is. This is more of a problem on the merchant side.

For me I can understand the need to mention paywave instead of apple pay on shop that doesn't put apple pay banner or are not mention on apple malaysia website officially. But if the shop put a banner and become blur about it, well that is problem on their side.

I think problem with their side instead of merchant. Maybe those in HQ think that support AP is a good thing, but they never inform or update their branch. Just simply put a banner there for show purpose.

Also in accounting record side in their system, treatment of Apple Pay should be differ with Paywave also since the charges % is differ.

So instead of saying Paywave, Apple Pay should be the correct term.

i tried UOB bank machine and public bank machine , maybank machine also work....
