It will be wonderfull that they are getting full exemption now. I'm proud to be ex- Tarcian...batch of late 80's |

I got MIA, CAT, ACCA etc.
However, in real world of work; it just a cert. CIMA, CPA, ICAEW also same. What really important are experience & how u present yrself. |

I think many have misunderstood the meaning of full exemptions.Well, long time ago & probably now, Tar college & Uitm are the only given the exemptions till the last stage of acc. It will be wonderfull that they are getting full exemption now. I'm proud to be ex- Tarcian...batch of late 80's Full exemptions means u can straight go to the final papers. There's no such thing as exemption from all papers. There are many accounting graduates out there are given full exemptions from ACCA. This post has been edited by Blofeld: Sep 27 2016, 02:08 PM |

QUOTE(ruffaz @ Sep 26 2016, 07:51 PM) applying for full time studies. i will get full exemption for both professional certificate once i finish my bachelor degree in the near future. full exemption, yeah right i will also secure full sponsorship for my studies for either one. so, what do you suggest /k/ tard? ICAEW or ACCA? i dont really like acca coz acca nowadays too many already leh. i also read that, ACCA and ICAEW nowadays not much difference. they're pretty much the same. any truth in that? disclaimer: ayam ACCA. IMHO, ICAEW itself is not any better than ACCA, however some people consider ICAEW grads > ACCA grads. This is not entirely wrong because ICAEW accepts higher standard students than ACCA (IIRC SPM minimum 5 As vs ACCA 5 Bs), however it doesn't mean ACCA grads automatically worse than ICAEW grads lah. p.s. recently ICAEW has dropped its intake standards a little bit, so it all depends on how well you can BS your future employer also ACCA program of study is more rounded than either CIMA or ICAEW. so I ask TS, what field of work do you intend to do? QUOTE(Mr. Najib Razak @ Sep 27 2016, 07:24 AM) Actually he got both but he got ACCA first, in 1986. so we gasak him dulu Career He worked very briefly with Virgin Atlantic as an auditor, subsequently becoming the financial controller for Richard Branson's Virgin Records in London from 1987 to 1989.[11] Fernandes was admitted as Associate Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 1991 and became Fellow Member in 1996. He is currently a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Fernandes was formerly a Warner Music executive in Malaysia.[12] He was the South East Asian regional vice-president for Warner Music Group from 1992 to 2001. When Time Warner Inc announced its merger with America Online Inc., Fernandes left to pursue his dream of starting a budget no-frills airline. In September 2001, Fernandes purchased AirAsia and became its chief executive.[13][14] sos |
