Get a rig = lowyat

Thumb drive, printers, etc (peripheral) = pc fair

And PC fair = chicks

I am thinking of getting a 4GB thumbdrive there if its around RM100. Current lowest is RM110-120 for a normal Kingston thumbdrive.

And maybe two 1GB RAM modules if the prices are still looking as good as now, preferably lower of course.

before i know a place called lowyatt.... i always go to PC-fair to check and buy new things... but now... not anymore...

Nope, hard disk price won't go down during pc fair , but it will go down over-time so its better u pay lowyat plaza a visit or get it from garage sales/bulk section here

Another big things to look out for this year in PC Fair is the WS LCD , I think many 20"-22" will have discount (well because the price is falling anyway) so they will most probably dropped during this PC fair:thumbs:

I think it will be quite cheaper at PC fair, as shops will be slashing their price to be competitive for the DVD-R

s'ban is very to kl. most prefer to buy their hardwares frm places like lowyat coz the price is lower. thats the reason y.

I been to pc fair before...
Their item is not really cheap either...
That's ok, i bought a memory card from there, the price is only a few dollars cheaper than market price...
But after a few months, i only know that that card is fake..
It only able to use 60% of it's display memory, then it refuse to take in any data....

Monitors, RAMs, pendrives and anything "no stock" in Lowyat days before the event because they are hoarding it for PC Fair.

Well, they are cheaper but only a few bucks. Actually, when those PC companies make promotion themselves, it is cheaper than PC Fair...

For me, PC Fair is for cuci-mencuci mata la...but did get a printer during last PC Fair.
Come on, the show girls at PC Fair (only been to KL PC Fair, so can't make comparison)
are damn chun...those lappie show girls are chun... Sometime go PC Fair also same like go KLIM (In terms of girls)

Normally, cheaper items in PC Fair is only printer, CD, DVD, catridge, pen drive. Other item they won't drop much price la..may b when u buy from them, they just give u more free gifts only...

the thing abt PC fair (that i also think others would agree)

its more than just abt getting quality stuff at dealer/manufacturer price WITH the same Warranty.
i myself almost aways look for the Mac booth, find rare stuff (at least for me) like RCA 2 S video cable (2004-5), and get NEW free Games CD.

also.. i gather more info bt the latest gadget around. My personal fav = storage/HD/raid related products.. wireless and GSM based electronic control devices also = a good hipe.

summor.. magazines booth where we can get the past edition n (unespectedly) i've meet and talk to chef Ismail dad day~ huhu [offtopic] <:)>

but i like the competition offered. there are a LOT of competition/quiz 4 u to take part in.. (of couse given that u R a t the right place AT the right time). [never really won anyhing but.. it doesn't kill the fun]

juz went to lowyat juz now and found out that most of the shop alredi dun hav stock for 512mb DDR2 533mhz and 1gb one....

Rm107 for 512mb DDR2 Ram .....will it be lower than it like Rm90 for pc fair ?

Hi there,

Do anyone need any promoters for the coming PC fairs at Mahkota Parade, Malacca and also the one at KLCC? Btw, how do you pay per day and what is the job scope?

wah in fact got "Pikom" brand CD-R...? havent c b4...
mayb later got "Cycom", "CZone" or other special brand CD-R come out.

Last time PC Fair August 2006, for student spend around rm200 can get a water bottle and that rm300.00 for ordinary people to get water bottle. Better bring student card there.

Don't ask around what's the price at PC Fair liao. We also human, can't predict future one check out LYP pricelists, so the price at PC Fair will be around that figure as well. Plus minus RM5, RM10 depends on how high the price

ala asyik2 offer 100 drive per day, u have to like queue from 6am in the morning to get the dvd drive
