For a sec, i thought you meant Aztech has only TEN skype DECT phones to sell at PC Fair

I finally see your point of view. Read the whole ad in its proper context and pictures under header "Connecting to use Skype" - steps 1-3.

To me, it means i can dial direct to skype users using the Aztech Skype DECT phone instead of the cumbersome conventional way of having to be tied down to a PC use microphone and speakers then only can talk on Skype...

Hmmm, means i can talk for free in bed or bathroom, without adding to my mobile phone bill too!

Pretty cool! Thanks to you again, i will now get myself the Aztech skype DECT phone! I also got "low yah" corded phone to trade-in!

That's PC.com's prerogative and i guess they have to buy from Aztech (probably at a discount) to give away with PC.com's special subscription packages at PC Fair only.

Unless there is a merger between PC.com and Aztech i'm not aware of

OK, OK, i just read the PDF file... meaning, V500DS-S1 no need PC at all while HS315-S1 still need USB W-Fi Dongle connected to PC, only then can use Skype DECT phone talk wirelessly like mobile phone lah.

Can use ordinary line make free skype calls meh? Like this means, Telekom lose complete revenue on overseas calls which is not a bad idea!
I'm sure we still need to subscribe to an internet broadband. Maybe V500DS-S1 no need mah-fun use USB Wi-Fi Dongle that's all. I dunno. I don't even have a DECT phone to begin with

I will call Aztech tomorrow to ask what they mean by "Direct connection to broadband, no PC required" as seen on Aztech's ad at http://vmcc.com.my/forums/viewtopic.php?t=210. Then again, may be a bad time as tomorrow is the set-up for PC Fair already. Will get back to you as soon possible.

I'm sorry to read you had such a bad experience. I would be pissed too to be told enter from Level 3 and then to discover can also enter from Hall 4.

Re. your complaint about PC.com freebie given away not as advertised at VMCC website, we published the info sent to us word for word.

PC.com just replied it is the Aztech colour display DECT cordless phone model L115 retailed at RM299 which so happened to be the same price as the Aztech HS315-S1 Skype Dect phone. The freebie model Aztech DECT Phone (L115) comes with SMS Feature. Visit http://www.aztech.com/retail_malaysia/dect.html

In addition to that, PC.com has been doing "National Service" by sponsoring full colour full page ads since last October 2006 to promote VMCC. PC.com subscribers here can verify this by checking past issues. And this sponsorship will continue till November 2007 issue.

It is really not easy to run a national campaign on a shoe-string budget. VMCC is a people-led campaign, not funded by political parties and the likes. We are running this campaign not only to support Visit Malaysia Yearr 2007; we are also demonstrating in action, "Malaysia Boleh" in its proper perspective. I can write a loooong story on this.
