Since xz-1 already discontinued they will try to inspect the SLR, if need change part, they can't do anything. If can repair without change part, will be charged for labour around Rm100.

They might be offering me discount for new SLR PEN series if mu xz-1 can't be repaired.

not worth repair...last time I bought a new xz-2 just rm650.
that time before a new xz-1 with auto cap selling rm399 only.

Oh, well, minimum cost would be RM25 for inspection fee and RM12 for return delivery fee plus 6% gst.
Max would be RM100-ish. I would like to see if it's repairable or not first. That xz-1 been collecting dust few years already.
It was under utilized since I bought it. I bet picture snapped with it, less than 500.

I'm a fan of xz-1, if I want similar or better quality of 1.8f, which SLR is recomended?

I been to their service center 2 years ago at Mont Kiara for my EM1 replacing the grip. U should try search for their phone number and call them. Faster respond. FB one is more like marketing team handling.

Oh my.. that will cost about 3k to own. any similar line from Olympus?

no...olympus nit producing such camera anymore. even m4/3 camera tgey slow down the product cycle to save cost.
if lx10 cost 3k...u better consider lx100 as well

Ouch, both LX10 and LX100 are out of my budget. Thanks on your recommendation anyways.
Watched some review on both model already. Both are great, too great for me.
Now only consider good replacement SLR similar to XZ-1 around 1k pricetag only, as I don't use much of the camera in real life.

Hi guys,

My Olympus EMD10 has this problem recently.
1.The body cant recognize the kit lens.
2.LCD screen blank.
3.Half press shutter no effect at all.
4.Upon turning on the camera, the lens keep focusing and cant goes back to the original position after turn off

May I know what's wrong?
Is there any other way to fix this.
Is there any recommended camera repairshop to fix my camera?

Im new to mft. Just bought gx7 with 14-42 kit lens. I was thinking to upgrade the lens. Which is better buy compare 20mm f1.7, 25mm f1.8 or sigma 30mm f1.4? Budget arnd 1-1.5k.
I mostly take family photo, potrait & lanscape once a while. For some reasons i always took picture in low light situation.
Can you guys suggest me best lens i should get?

you need double the shutter speed compare with 15mm but f/1.4 aint 1 stop faster than f/1.7.

shutter speed aside...it is better to include more background and depth of field for family photo...15mm more suitable in my opinion.

true its 0.5 stop faster.

if it was me i stick to the kit lens. the 14-42 range covers almost all the mostly used focal range.
just use flash for low light.

if only they could make a 14-42mm kit lens at f1.7-2.8.

flash is a big turn off for family photo

that would be LX100
