Haha, true. But is there a point if I already own a bunch of primes?

F2.8 is not bright enough, and f1.2 prime lens offers only 1 extra stop but weighs at least 3 times more of my small primes. The only lens that interests me in the PRO line now is the 10-25mm f1.7. Still contemplating but got cash flow problem now.... biggrin.gif

For me, difference between Olympus PREMIUM lineup and PRO lineup are coating and weather sealing. The coating makes difference over bokeh looks, smoothness, flare resist level.

If you haven't poison by PRO lens yet, it's ok. Current f1.8 lens are sharp, especially that 75mm f1.8
I did have chance to use those PRO f1.2 prime, so tasty so bokeh-liciuos <3

10-25mm f1.7 is Panasonic Leica lineup. I'm super interested but high chances won't get it because of the high price.

If it is bokeh I am after, my top choice would not be the f1.2, but the Sigma 56mm f1.4. The Pro line's size is a major deterrent imo. I have no incentive to go for Pro lens, with the exception for wide angle zoon of 10-25 as there is just no other lens that offer that versatility and quality.

I think I'd prefer carrying just 1 cam + 1 prime walking around, but I guess that's preference. Also, kinda hard toting camera equipment+baby bags around most of the time but that's just me.
compared to the bigger fast zoom siblings of other systems, I have to agree.
Yes, of course coming from another format, I also have my preferred focal length and I do like 35mm ish for general street/environmental portraits

how about Ricoh GR III? with baby i think the lighter the better.

Hi M4/3 forummers, I finally made the decision to venture into M4/3 realm after using Nikon D500 for 3 years. Main reason: Weight and size! May continue using it as I love the system very much, but prefer light weight when doing travel photography.

I bought a used EM1 Mk II body, now need lenses (and maybe x0.71 manual NF-M4/3 adapter) to shoot. I am considering the below used lenses for a start:

1) 12-40mm 2.8 Pro
2) 45mm f1.8
3) x71 Nikon - M4/3 adapter
4) 60mm Macro f2.8
5) 40-150mm f2.8 Pro (later?!)
6) Sigma 56mm f1.4
7) any suggestion? Samyang?

Anyone has any good condition pre-loved lens to let go, maybe we can have some nego about it? Or help to point me to any trusted KL/PJ vendor for M4/3 lenses?

Thank you

12-40 f2.8 + 40-150 f2.8 ! ! !
I love my 40-150 f2.8 pro wub.gif sharp
60mm macro only if you shoot macro, IMO it's not fast enough for regular use.

I maybe aiming the same setup as yours. The 2 PRO lens.

Yes, I do shoot close up, at times, mainly flower, not bugs. Most macro lens are very sharp, hence, maybe good for portrait too?!

I just saw this video, saying the RM360 budget 40-150 f4-5.6 lens, can be used like the pro lens in term of sharpness and bokeh (albeit, with Gaussian blur in PS). Not bad, for amateur and non-pro shooter, I guess, it is good enough?!

Anyone has experience or have friends had the experience of using this Viltrox manual focus adapter (Nikkor - M4/3)? In term it's effect on of image sharpness, extra bokeh (?!), issues?

I bought my m43 gears from YL Camera PJ. So far so good.
I already have 12-40. Might consider a 1.8 lens for low light.

I bought my D500 from YL too, during big promotion, 3 years ago.

One of the Olympus lens property is low minimum focus distance. Flower macro is no issue.

If you want extra sharp portrait lens, 75mm f1.8 is the one.

Is it worth getting the PL 15mm f1.7 to replace my 20mm pancake especially for indoor low-light shooting?
