Hmmm only body ka... Then try to find in Garage Sales for the Oly 12-50mm ez lens. Best kit lens for m43 liao imo

Should only cost RM500 or so for a 2nd hand unit
*
12-50 is an awesome kit lens. Weather seal, macro mode, good quality biggrin.gif

Best kit lens in m43 is Olympus 12-50mm?
What about the Lumix 12-60mm f3.5-*?
*
That's at least few hundred ringgit more, just extra 10mm focal but lack macro mode.

Didn't get to shoot the Blood Moon 2 days ago cause i suck, but yesterday's Full Moon was super bright so I tried to shoot it again with my 100-400

I think olympus/panasonic 12 35/40 are good lens, f2.8 and relatively sharp corner.

Considering Yangnuo too, but abit concern of the flash-to-body ratio as I'm using the tiny GX85, LOL
*
I have Nissin i60A, powerful flash but not-over-size, slightly larger than FL600r
Now YL promo at RM899

QUOTE(foodskiver @ Feb 13 2018, 07:07 AM)
Hmm... What if I can get both at similar price?
Will 12-60mm > 12-50mm?
I am using E-M10 mark ii.

Also want ask, 12-40mm will be imbalance for my camera right? Reason why didn't consider 12-40mm because will get it as kit when I upgrade to new camera in future.
*
If worry on weight, pump budget go to PanaLeica 12 60 f2.8-4 then, lighter than 12-40 pro.

Quite impressed with recent gen Pen Lite, premium metal solid build, image quality on par with EM1 / EM10 III
Sadly there's no grip for it.

New firmware from Olympus.

Focus Stacking added to E-M5 Mark II. Still hoping for battery percentage, not sure if it is hardware limitation.
*
If I recall correctly, once talked to Olympus representative, they mentioned battery percentage was possible due to new battery in EM1 II

always keep a compact camera system as your backup.
i dun think other mirrorless system can give you that compactness.
besides m43 lenses are sharp at wide aperture which i like.
for example the 14-42mm f3.5-f5.6 kit lens are already sharp at f4.
very few other lens systems can give you that.
also i can carry a long telephoto at half the size and weight compared to other systems because of the 2x crop factor.
*
One thing I love about m43 or Olympus are their lens, sharp @ wide open. I often shoot my 40-150 wide open and rarely thought I need to step down aperture to improve sharpness.
Light weight tele lens are one strength of m43 system, one can handheld shooting Moto GP while FF user cant cool2.gif

I wanted an AF native lens for my GX8. The Laowa 7.5/f2 that I owned is a fully MF lens and I find that it's not easy to get a sharp shot when hand-holding for selfie, my face is not in focus most of the time, tough I have tried a couple tricks. So an AF lens will surely help a lot in selfie.

It certainly won't be cheap lor. What's interesting are ff A7 bodies on the cheap as we move along.
*
ya, A7 3 cheaper now but still over 7k sad.gif ( wallet still disagree laugh.gif )
Almost all mirrorless body are over 7K ( EM1 II, G9, A7 3 ) that's why I'm still on EM1 cry.gif

Discovered something interesting, not sure if it has been shared before.

Stumbled upon the Olympus Lens Advisor which 'advises' you on which lens to buy depending on the photographs that you like from the list. I find the results accurate for me.  Do let me know your thoughts.  biggrin.gif

http://lensadvisor.olympus-imaging.com/en-my/index.html

Note: Remember to select Photo Display Size: Large as it really helps to have a larger view of the pictures provided.

My results as follow:
