QUOTE(Nogol @ Nov 17 2018, 08:17 AM)
Botak_wai, problem with some higher end m43 camera is they're too expensive, I could get a FF (A7ii) with that price. But then I also have to consider about the cost of buying lenses when I buy a FF camera.

Huislaw, I notice the footage got a bit wobbly, did you apply stalization in post production? Or is it IBIS causing this?
It's around 0:42 when your camera shoots the floor. Jomblang cave
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eKezlbUozhk

Sometimes I notice this problem in my EM5 video. Also my EM5 don't have higher FPS for video.

Now em5ii around rm2.6k, I'm thinking to buy it. But it's probably not a significant upgrade from my EM5.
*
EM1's IBIS are good, below shoot handheld by total-amateur ( I almost dont shoot video at all ), with 40-150 pro lens zoomed.
Depends on how you use I think, but some use Olmypus EM1 for commercial use. ( I recall Ming Thein shoot some of his Hasselblad commercial video using EM1 )

walk in: midvalley olympus official store, try to negotiate until your desire price.

online: just buy from lazada because of customer protection
*
Ya, midvalley olympus store quite good poison there. My EM1 bought there, but story was, I'm at Midvalley meeting friend, boring so go in gossip around, the sales keep dropping price and adding free gift, eventhough I keep saying I've no intention to buy ( honestly no intention ) but in the end I bought coz 4 or 5 free gift, wallet cry why my will so weak cry.gif

Online, sometimes KLDSLR and fotokem have ridiculous deal.

QUOTE(incubus_skj @ Nov 23 2018, 12:31 PM)
wait what EM1mk2 for only RM4.4k? 2nd hand unit ka?
*
Yeah, met someone who bought RM4.4K last month, I think it's open box set ( the 12-40 bundled kit but lens removed ), still official Olympus Malaysia warranty. Now promotion, still no issue claim free gift from Olympus website.

QUOTE(COOLPINK @ Nov 23 2018, 01:23 PM)
the price dropped like almost 50%  shocking.gif  shocking.gif
*
RM8k dropped to RM5K+ ( tax free holiday ) I thought bottom liao and bought, two three months later RM4.4K sweat.gif

QUOTE(SticH @ Nov 25 2018, 03:26 PM)
Is the m1 mark II worth the rm1800 upgrade from m5 mark II?
*
Dual card slot ( with UHS-II ), 4K ( two type of 4K video ), much faster burst rate.
S-AF speed should be similar, but C-AF are much much faster.

Another much significant upgrade you'll definitely felt are battery life ( easily lasted 2-3 times of old battery ), I can shoot 3 days casual, or one heavy event day with some spare battery life left end of the day, em1/em5/em5-2 I need 3-4 batteries on heavy event day.

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Nov 25 2018, 11:08 PM)
Yes EM1Mk2 is a well rounded camera, just 1080p is a bit meh but 4k very good.
*
Must use the Cine-4K biggrin.gif

+ you don't have to pay extra to buy a grip

EM5 ergonomics masuk longkang if used with a slightly larger lens
*
True, I forgot this. EM5 time even with external grip, I cant hold properly and finger will be tired hours later.

Grip is a must laugh.gif because 12-40 wasnt really light weight either tongue.gif
