ford fiesta is not for the feint hearted

fiesta might let my bro use. haven't yet decided, most probably getting a clio RS200 or used Mk6 GTi.  

Ford Malaysia is having a tough time, in fact Ford in general is going through a bad time now with a lack of new models keeping the brand afloat. I even wonder if the new Fiesta will ever reach our shores...wanted to purchase a Fiesta ST a few months back but car sold.

Well I know who if you're buying from used unit from SDAC 

is it the blue unit? it was advertised on mudah few months ago...

Anyone know if new ST is coming next year to our shores?  whats the expected price?

The new ST is not even launched yet in Europe.

Heck, we don't even know the mk8 Fiesta will come here.

the conventional auto will be less troublesome.

FIESTA ST RECALL
Fiesta STs have been recalled with builds from 2/3/2015 to the 31/1/2017.
The recall is titles "17P06 - FIESTA ST IN-USE MONITOR PERFORMANCE RATIO PCM UPDATE."
This requires a PCM update which should take less than 30 minutes to complete but knowing Ford will mean them having your car all fucking day. This WILL wipe ANY remap that is NOT MP215. Please speak to your tuners regarding the implications behind this.

Open that link in INTERNET EXPLORER / EDGE, Click vehicle lookup, type in your reg, click search then look at the "Outstanding Field Service Actions" any recalls will be in there. if you use Chrome then you can't type in the reg and will have to type in your VIN which I'd assume you don't know off by heart, so use a Windows browser (Tested on PC - Not on mobile)

Thought of sharing my quick experience with Fiesta's DCT vs Honda Jazz Hybrid DCT

The DCT on the Jazz Hybrid is more refined , no stupid jerkiness . I believe the electric motor is doing a great job in masking the lag created by engine. Since stop-go traffic is handled by electric motor , it just masks it

There is a slight throttle lag , not sure if its electric motor + engine trying to work it out or that's how the dual clutch works

Haven't trashed the car yet , so not sure how it picks up in highway or how it feels in Highway . To me it looks like the japs did some fine tuning to the Hybrid engine to work with Malaysian road conditions and all

Having said that , Fiesta's fabric seats > Honda and also Fiesta's stock speakers are the beast. I mean you get superb sound quality for stock (okie)

Thats the advantage of electric motor.
you get 100% torque from the electric motor at 1rpm.
i think the slight lag is a there to protect the gearbox.
instant 100% torque all the time will kill the gearbox faster.

u sure you wont miss the jerkiness after all these years?

I won't miss the gearbox jerk and judder
