The indicator for liquid is inside right? So if liquid breaks through the seals then there won't be warranty. In other words, the phone is water resistant certified but Apple is not going to give any assurance over any failure of seals?

Apparently so. Sony has a hard time giving warranty for their phones when there is water damage because there is no way to tell if the phone has gone beyond the depth of water as specified by them.

Last time my iPhone 6 Plus drop into toilet but still can claim warranty for free but was waited almost half year to replace a new iPhone 6 Plus.

There have some tricks to claim warranty with water damage.
1. Make sure the indicator is still in white color, that's why wearing a casing is not only to protect your iPhone but also prevent your water damage indicator to change color.
2. My phone was blacked out and cannot start. I press the power button but not working. I do not tell the telco about my phone was water damaged. They can't prove that was water damage because the indicator is still in white color.

lol but worry not. various water depth tests in youtube shows that the iPhone 7 water resistance is actually way better than expected. unless you decided to bring it for scuba diving, i dont think you'll ever be needing to claim for water damage.

you should worry about the lighting port wear and tear more since now you are using it 2x more than the normal.

just to confirm bro - when select "One-time payment" option, it will bring me to another page stating "Unlocked iPhone connected to XXX" (XXX being the name of the selected carrier). do you have any idea what does it mean "connected to"?
*
Means the phone will have a SIM card from XXXX inserted inside. US iPhones don't include SIM eject tool, because people buy for their specific carrier and activate it without changing SIMs (but still keeping their same number). This was the case when i bought my 6 Plus from Verizon, Phone will still be unlocked though.

thanks for the sharing bro. so, can I conclude that when I receive the phone, I just have to get myself a pin, eject the SIM tray, take out the XXX sim card, put in Malaysia SIM card, and then start using it?

But how do u make sure your phone drop in toilet bowl the water enter does not reach the water damage indicator? Normally once water enter = would normally touch the water damage indicator. Probably its just your luck that it didnt manage to reach the water damage indicator

The water damage indicator is actually a piece of sticker/cardboard which turns colour when it comes into contact with water. Worry less as the sticker is actually available for sale even at our marketplace here. brows.gif
