I wonder why such big difference in terms of pricing in US and SG?
SG 7plus 128GB cost about RM4.2k after converted while US 7plus 128gb cost $849 which converts to about RM3442. US iPhones are all locked set? This post has been edited by Area51SE: Sep 8 2016, 01:04 PM |

Is it alright to purchase a US set (Unlocked) since it's much cheaper compared to SG ? Are there any drawbacks except for the warranty part?

I would rather they offer a trade in program just like what samsung does but sadly in the case of Maxis, the trade in program only comes after several months when the hype for iPhone dies down

QUOTE(1234kingbling @ Sep 12 2016, 04:24 PM) Dont get why people would ever buy an iPhone. Phones these days can do everything the iphone can if not better at a cheaper price. It's like asking why people would buy a Merz/ BMW / Audi / Honda / Toyota when cars these days such as Proton can do everything that the brands I mentioned can at a much cheaper price. Different people have different perceived value and quality. You might not see quality / value in the iPhone but others does. The same applies to Samsung or other phone brands This post has been edited by Area51SE: Sep 12 2016, 05:45 PM |

QUOTE(MrSweet @ Sep 13 2016, 10:55 AM) Iphone 7 32gb is good enough? Can't really answer you but to give you an estimate, mine is 16GB and it gives me 11.92GB usable space after iOS installed.Too big gap for 32gb and 128gb May I know IOS will take up to how many gb? If you plan to use this phone long term (2 years and above), 128GB will be a better bet This post has been edited by Area51SE: Sep 13 2016, 11:16 AM |

QUOTE(showcase @ Sep 13 2016, 01:09 PM) Lol, the easiest way to identify whether its an iPhone 7 is to look at the existance of headphone jack. I believe those americans in the video doesn't even know the features of iPhone 7 in the first place |

Reading all the news, it seems that the iPhone 7 demand is exceptionally high this time. While I hope it would not affect the launch date for Malaysia but I think it is likely to be delayed as Apple would have to fulfill the demand of the 1st and 2nd wave countries first before launching it here

QUOTE(kaidorick @ Sep 17 2016, 06:20 PM) hey guys. Those are scalper pricingcan i know why people are selling po of i7 at rm3xxx i thought only suppose to be rm26xx for lowest model thx QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Sep 17 2016, 06:24 PM) I guess it has something to do with the "Quad Cores" where 2 cores does heavy load stuff and 2 cores are for efficiency to save battery. Probably its utilizing the 2 smaller cores to boot the device? Its just a rough guess thoughQUOTE(attw @ Sep 17 2016, 07:22 PM) I was at some furniture roadshow today and one particular exhibitor told me if I spend RM20,000 and above with them I would get a brand new free iPhone 7. I answered "Huh? Not launched here yet means you will give me an imported set?" November because they need to give time for the hype to settle down before they can get those stocks for their "free gift" of purchasing furniture RM20k and above."No sir, we'll give you an official Malaysia set. In November." |

I'm not sure why the Jet Black is raising high concern about getting scratched but isn't the iPhone 4 and 4S back then were made of glass and prone to scratches too? I didn't see that becoming a big concern though. Just my opinion.

QUOTE(junclj @ Sep 19 2016, 01:09 PM) Last time my iPhone 6 Plus drop into toilet but still can claim warranty for free but was waited almost half year to replace a new iPhone 6 Plus. But how do u make sure your phone drop in toilet bowl the water enter does not reach the water damage indicator? Normally once water enter = would normally touch the water damage indicator. Probably its just your luck that it didnt manage to reach the water damage indicatorThere have some tricks to claim warranty with water damage. 1. Make sure the indicator is still in white color, that's why wearing a casing is not only to protect your iPhone but also prevent your water damage indicator to change color. 2. My phone was blacked out and cannot start. I press the power button but not working. I do not tell the telco about my phone was water damaged. They can't prove that was water damage because the indicator is still in white color. |

QUOTE(attentional @ Sep 24 2016, 03:17 PM) I will be getting mine from my friend as usual. Apple staff can purchase for family and friends up to 10 units or apple product per year with 15% staff discount, 128gb iPhone 7 Plus will cost me around RM3.5k++ after discount Purchasing from Apple Malaysia? RM3.5k++ with 15% discount. Does this indicate that Malaysia's price for i7 Plus 128gb will be around 4000-4150?This post has been edited by Area51SE: Sep 24 2016, 03:54 PM |

QUOTE(irenic @ Sep 26 2016, 11:24 AM) i dont think resale value for iPhone is as good as it was last time. I believe the large depreciation is due to the huge drop in price of 6s after the release of iPhone 7recently, i just sold iPhone 6s 64GB rose gold and there is 45% depreciation value. My friend sold almost similar aged samsung galaxy note 5, and its depreciation value is just 32% . |
