It takes forever. Call them up after 5 days for a refund. Currently the top up service failed and they never inform or put up a notice. Malaysia banks, can't expect much from them..

Not sure. Cimb and Maybank both fail. RHB confirm can pass well, other banks no news about them..

what confirmation does that mean? The 4 digit code again? And are u sure above your paypal "my account" it have the word verified?

Perhaps u should try link it to other bank card such as pbe debit card.

I've never encounter this problem before. Last time you use don't have this problem? Have you tried setting up your My account under profile there? Both credit card and bank account.

Yeah it's true it needs 2-4 days time for withdrawing. Now try not to top up using Maybank or you will risk getting your money stuck. I guess the only way is to wait them solve your block account problem

The 13.91USD charged should be correct, but why your friend that sold you kena charge 1.75USD? Maybe she see wrongly or this is another new implemented charges for personal payment.

Who usually pay the fees is up to the sender, she can choose which option she want, either you pay or she pay.

For your second time they charge you 1% instead of 3.9% previously? That's strange.. But then if you transfer money you won't kena charge wer. Why you also kena charge? Try post a screenshot for it, I'll try see what is it.

The 13.91 USD charged is correct but double charging your friend too seems weird. But since Paypal tell you that's international fee so maybe it is. I usually use Mass Payment which only deduct $1 USD no matter how much amount you transfer. I'm not sure but I think it has something to do with Personal, Premier or business account too. You might want to investigate more into that. Mine is premier and I didn't received any double charges for transferring funds

Added on June 1, 2011, 7:55 pmI'm not sure you could remove the previous link to the virtual debit card but you can add and link to another card. I think just go to "add credit card" there and select your new debit card as primary.

You may withdraw your Paypal funds anytime you want. But withdrawing is direct to your bank account, not using your card number anymore. You might try it yourself which would be easier to understand.

If you always transfer funds it's better to upgrade your account to Premier which is free and works similar to Personal account. Or you would always get your account under limitation and investigate by Paypal.

Added on June 1, 2011, 8:00 pmI'm not sure about this oh. I am under Premier, I transfer to people under personal payments also got charge. But then when someone else transfer funds to me using personal payments he say no charge at all from both of us.

Hehe I have no idea why you'll be deducted 1% of the total amount even u're the sender. Maybe it's because u're using personal account. Try upgrade to premier account. Because somewhat I saw somewhere that premier account have better privileges and benefits.

I waited nearly 2 weeks also haven't get back the refund. But paypal staff always call me to update me the status. I guess the funds won't get missing, just it took some time for the refund.

Paypal say they have not received the money from RHB therefore the funds couldn't be allocated to me.

They ask me to call cimb to check first. Cimb says the transaction is completed on their side so I think the main issue is RHB or fox there.

So all I could do is just wait for a few more days and paypal will call me back again.

They say my paypal name does not match my real full name so that's why the transaction couldn't complete well. But that's not the problem I think, since top up using rhb has no problem.

Try not to use personal. Sometimes paypal staff will limit your account activity when they feel suspicious.

Yeah I also link my paypal using debit card. No need a US bank acc

But then paypal call me up and assure me they will solve this for me. Cimb have the not their problem attitude, they would not help u in it or even bother to solve the problem

Yeah I would suggest you to upgrade to premier account and there are more privileges. Not sure what the privileges are. It's safer in terms that Paypal seldom would limit your account sometimes.

Sending money wouldn't have any charges but in some cases the sender still will got charged which I have no idea why. But receiver will be deducted of 3.9% of the total amount.

personal payments is different, u can set either the sender or receiving pay for the service fee.

But if sending money normally using the send payment tab, the receiver would be charged an amount of service fee.

3.9% I think. But it's applicable to the receiver only and he'll get protection from paypal. Personal or mass payment does not provide any protection to the receiver so the fees is low too

Yes you can do that. No need a special bank for that.

Yeah you can still use it of course. And you no need to top up, it will deduct straight from your debit card which is much easier. And the top up service is currently in havoc. It's advisable not to use the top up service at this moment.

You will hardly get the funds if you use the top up function unless you use under RHB top up.

Clicking any of the 4 options would still be the same. The funds would still reach your friend and the same service fee will be charge by Paypal to either one of you if applicable.

That's great! But I heard that RHB is going to merge with Cimb or maybank. Not sure if it might affect the refund process or not.

Yeah saw it in the paper. But I think the funds now is stuck at RHB side since paypal told me they haven't receive anything from the bank yet.
