Hi , still new in Paypal . If I wan to sign up the paypal acc and i am using the maybank debit card , which paypal acc i should select ? Personal or Premier ?

And I wanna to buy something from uk and the seller only able to deal with the paypal , so how the paypal deduct the money ? from my debit card ? and does it have any other extra charges ?

Thank ! smile.gif

If you're just a buyer with not much account activity with Paypal then select personal. Actually both of it is nearly the same and it cost nothing. Don't know why Paypal implement this.

When you purchase something it will direct debit from your card. I think the only charges for buyer is through the currency exchange rate.

Not sure anything we could do. All we could do is just wait and wait and bugging Paypal to help us.

any debit card that doesnt need me to open an account or not..?
*
Got.. Cimb debit card. But that debit card is pointless. You can put in money to the card and you can't take it out. The only way to take it out is spend the money inside until finish. That's what cimb staff told me. But no need set up account

Screw them badly. I'm thinking of bringing this issue towards consumer tribunal..
*
I don't think that's going to work since Paypal is located in outside of Malaysia but it will be highlighted in the news for this matter. But still it's not going to help much.

I see that some people are already gotten their refund back, so I think we should give more time to Paypal to solve this even though it's quite much a delay. Even if we complain, we still have to wait for it. Maybe it's part of their bank procedures that's making the delay. Not sure bout it.

Hey, If Im about to make a purchase using paypal but the amount exceeds my cimb cc limit by few hundred..will it go through or do I need to call cs to extent the limit temporally?
*
It wouldn't go through. It would result an error when you're paying for the item. You might need to contact cimb to inquiry about the credit card limit.

No, paypal services keep denied my payment as the debit account has no sufficient amount, but what the way I want to use for payment is paypal balance!
I have top up my paypal account last night for payment edi..

I can only find debit/credit card in funding option. Anyone can help?
*
Is it your balance is in MYR currency and you're transferring in USD? If it is so, that's the reason your transfer using the balance is unsuccessful.

Unfortunately Paypal always like this. Have to get use to it. Email them with the problem, they would usually reply in one day or call you up for the matter. sweat.gif

Yup..even ebay already already give a warning as seller close his accounts once I return that item..
No luck..
*
Then u should try emailing them, your chances on getting back the funds would be high since he close his account all the sudden. The case would be reopen again.

Paypal already close the case and not being on my favor..now i'll not purchased any xpensive item online anymore..
*
That's sad.. All I know is that eBay could open the case twice, and if you're using credit card for payment you could apply for a chargeback.

hye can i know what is the different of the pay pal fund types?

any differences when we make payment from paypal fund instead of using linked credit/debit card fund?im already googling but not found any satisfied answer.
*
There's not much difference in it. But using debit/credit card have additional charges and you're bound to Paypal's currency exchange rate. If you're not a frequent user, using debit/credit card would be much easier.
