Fantastic sharing!

You've set a new benchmarking to all by setting up home theather with Projector right in the living hall. It's a brilliant idea for not letting space as a constraint to enjoy our life . notworthy.gif

You are not comparing apple to apple. That projector has only got 1000 lumens, meaning you need full darken room to get the best picture.
It only got 8 bit color processing whereas this Panny got 10bit. Meaning less color processing. Lazy to get the actual number but its a lot of difference.

At least if you compare to HD72, then yeah... its ok to compare.
DLP or LCD, its all up to individuals. But since you mentioned it here, I can always condemn DLPs
1) Lense Shifting is reall pain in the a**
2) Zoom usually very low, 1.2x? Whereas Panny got 2.0x.
3) Rainbow effect? This only happens to DLP
4) Screen door effect? Usually this happens to LCD but this Panny eliminated it. So, you get a smooth screen even at 1 foot away from the screen.

You have the will, then u will get it. Nothing is impossible.
One thing, we always spend on small small things... new gadget handphone, MP3, PDA, camera, PS3 when it first launched then sell then buy... then sell, then buy. In this way, we lost a lot of money... bit by bit... few hundred here, few hundred there. Buy this t shirt, that t shirt, that expensive nike shoes...

Know what I mean? Yeah... I saved for it. and its worth every sen I spent on it.

Yep, projector cld be costly as it can be as power hungry as plasma tv. the only thing is the short life span of the bulb if you use it to watch Astro. Not to mention the price of the bulb.

What is wrong with TNB bills? Power consumption is only 290W. Ha! Ha!... Thats something like your fridge or your old TV.
Like what htkaki says, the only worry is the bulb.... Definitely.

Lets say the bulb gonna blow at 3000 hours if I use Econ mode all the way... And 1 day I watch average 4 hours... I have 750 days. Thats about 2 years. Heck, by then, I should get new model. Kekekekeke...

3000 hours is d lifespan of the projector bulb......the lifespan depends on what mode r u using ....if u use d brightest mode it will probably last bout 1500-2000 hours only.....after tat normally the bulb will just burn and u have to replace the bulb ....its cost bout 1k+ for the bulb.....

It's cool to have an aquarium this way, very neat and space saving so will changing water for your fishes a hassle? I might wanna do that for my home in the future because my aquariums are talking a lot of space. sweat.gif

By the way, if you output the video in 1080i, will your projector be able to handle it? Will it flicker more in 1080i. I tried using 1080i on my Bravia, the text has a little ghosting, tried this from my Sony 76H and my XBOX 360. So, now, using 720P. If there's 1080P to try, I would like to try but I guess I'll need to change to Bravia X if I wanted to. doh.gif
