Also, i've noticed the wifi for this device is quite weak. Using speed test i've got only 10Mbps, compared with my ipad and nexus 6p at the same location recorded around 28-29Mbps. However using wifi sweetspot with beelink GT1 got average reading around 35Mbps.

Have you tried the 5GHz wifi? That should be faster as on 2.4GHz wifi, I only can half the speed of 5GHz which can get full speed on speed test...

My wifi router is located upstairs second floor. Couldnt be bothered to try the 5ghz band cause the signal usually for this band is quite weak to pass through wall. Most of the time downstairs prefer 2.4ghz signal, also a lot of devices nowadays has auto switching which will change it to most stable signal bands and usually it will connect to 2.4ghz band. Probably that is causing problem to my device as i couldnt play any movies but no problem with tv series. Next i will probably try to test it again upstairs where my router is located.

Yes unplayable with movies. No problem with tv series. Probably because of weak wifi signal as movie is larger in size and tv episode is much smaller. Not sure. Need to test more.

I have just received my beelink gt1 box. Yes it does have brightness problem. Another method to increase brightness is by changing brightness on TV settings. Another problem with my box is not all movies are playable. I've tried uninstall and reinstall back kodi. The problem persist with movies. However it does not occurs with TV series. Not sure why.

Yes increasing TV brightness is another option but that will cause all other source of input to become too bright and need to tune down again when using other source.

That's y I opt to tune Kodi instead.

Another way is to play 4K video. But need to do this every time you boot the box.

Correct. Tuning Kodi brightness is consider 1 time effort at least until beelink comes out with a proper solution.

Just download a 4k sample movie and dump it into the box or thumbdrive or network share. Then play from there.

Beelink GT1 join in.

user posted image

having difficult day setup it;

1) plug in all connection, and player refuse to power ON. light was there, however tv screen blank.
-, after so many try, resolve by unplug power, hdmi, lan, and usb mouse. not sure which sequence.

2) Kodi, app and all function seem hang. remote that provide not function! all button do not work.
- solve after OTA update, phewss... or the remote set to ON?

3) screen to brightness issues, yes.

4) no green flicker issue.

5) 6 hours play with no issues here

question, how to disable power saving mode?

I am currently using Streamyx with my GT1. Too much buffering with Wifi on the standard Innacomm W3410 modem from TM, so I switched to Ethenet. Seems to be better now with much less buffering on my GT1

Was wondering if anyone knows of a router that has a switch where I can turn off the wifi and just use Ethernet? I want to be able to turn on wifi when I am watching TV
