Hey guys. Been looking for awhile for a TV box. Been reading here & now I’m thinking between UGOOS AM6 & Beelink GT King. What do guys think? Which 1 should be the best purchase & should last in terms of hardware (future proofing)

And any suggestions on where to purchase it besides Lazada & Shopee.

Welcome... Kinda depends on what you want... The Ugoos AM6 ships with 16GB ROM, first boot up should have you with about 11GB free.. Depending on your usage, that might fill up pretty quick. The Beelink GT-King ships with 64GB ROM with 57GB free.. So significantly more free space to play with there.. Also depending on your purchase, the AM6 might ship with just 2GB DDR4 RAM versus the 4GB LPDDR4 RAM the GT-King ships with. I'll skip the rest of the HW differences as I'm sure you can do further comparison yourself.. Just had to point out those key stuffs.. On the positive side, The Ugoos AM6 comes with more software customization.. particularly the ability to hide and unmask root at will. The GT-King does not. With the GT-King, there are unofficial custom ROMs including ATV OS & official dualboot LibreELEC support.. Fairly easy to flash..

In case you haven't already checked it out.. Here's my review on the Beelink GT-King. See if it's something you can live with. You can purchase from other stores such as Gearbest, Aliexpress & Amazon.. Though these may take awhile to cheap or require more expensive shipping options for express delivery. So do weigh that as purchasing from Lazada/Shopee (locally) often means you'll get it quicker. As for which to pick between the 2 and for future proofing? I'd go with the GT-King... But then, I'm a tech-head who doesn't mind getting handsy.

It would help if you would state what device and if you've tried the usual troubleshooting (uninstall, reboot.. reinstall)...Test login on smartphone, etc to confirm it works..

Thanks for the info & good review on the GT-King. As of date, can Netflix playback in FHD? Not really an important feature that i need coz I can still load it with my TV.

Sorry bro.. gt1 mini A. Ive have install the new unifi playtv 1.2.8. However cant even go to login page. Try uninstall, reboot n reinstall but still cant go in. Now back using the old one

if u can't log in and use new apk but still can use old one, it means you have not been migrated to new.

do u not get the message when u try to log in "your account has not been migrated..."?

the migration is in stages, slow; new subscribers get new STB, some white box user already migrated, new apk also in use.

others, very old boxes.... not yet.

unifi has been crap with communication... people get confused....

You are welcome..Do let me know if you have any specific questions about the King series or other products I've reviewed... Regarding Netflix..Nope, AFAIK...Officially or unofficially. Still can't get Netflix to output FHD+. Since you TV has an in-built Netflix app. I strongly suggest you use that. Rather than seeking a certified box that runs Netflix easily at FHD+. As currently the list of Netflix certified boxes is quite short. So just use the TV app instead.. more convenient IMO. Then get an accompanying box to handle other playback stuffs the TV can't handle.

Yup... TM is well-known with their IPTV issues. And if you call their hotline to complain, just mentioning your device is a "box".. In my experience and others I've read about, they pretty much don't care and will automatically blame your device instead. So It's either get an newer device that's known to be compatible or wait and hope yours gets to work eventually.

is the GTKING pro able pass thru dolby atmos ??

Allow me some time to check and reply on this.

Hey.. So I checked and I can now confirm at this time that the GT-King Pro does not support Dolby Vision, Dolby ATMOS, & DTS:X. Not natively and not via hdmi pass-thru tech. The issue is being worked on and once success, will be released along with a software update. Though it is expected to ship as default with the GS-King X. So I'll advise some patience either for the King Pro of the upcoming X version.

Meanwhile, the Beelink GS-King X is finally here and here's my quick unboxing video.. Do check it out.. Do sub & share as well as a show of support .. I'll be testing it out over time...milking em for all it's got.. My full in-depth review will follow after I've spent some quality time.. Expect that. For now, let me know stuff you want tried out on it.. I'll endeavor to answer all questions and or concerns regarding it.

Early indication is around RM1K (Excluding HDD).... But let me get right back to you once It's confirmed from the horse's mouth.

Never wonder beelink thread available.

For almost 4 years of usage Beelink GT1, yes im impress and still working!! See only GT1 version, not that ultimate or king.

Thing to consider, it support OTa update, 2gb ram 16gb rom enough at time of purchase.

astro go not support, even old apk having login display issue.
Netflix only support mobile version.
None beelink got google certified correct?
Nope, multitasking not advise. System will lag crazy.
Torrent while doing something also cannot, near crash system, or partial hang. Seem data read write, processor peak usage.
Having mouse cursor keep missing sometimes, enable disable same. Reboot solve it.
kodi ok. Sometimes only crash exit.
Social apps ok.
Display, sound, ok.
Gaming no laaa.
Web browser, it detect as mobile version not desktop. While full screen, some web page video will having “green screen” symptoms.
Ui Home page not friendly, very lame.
Which mouse/air for support game axis? Still searching for playing racing car maybe. Suggest?
Support memory card android expansion, good.
Yes never has any advertising popup. Good.
No heatsink, or air hole. Which reported by most user. However use for straight 8 hours no issue.
Single hdmi only, 2 usb port ok. LAN best for me.
Google play ok, most apps support download, update.

Thanks for sharing... Nice to see the hardware can still tahan this long. Although for those purchasing today? I would advise getting more recent hardware to take advantage of better SoC and apps.

Hi, I'll try it out on the GS-King X.. Although I've tested this before on earlier Beelink devices and res is still stuck as below image. I expect the same will happen on the GS-King X as well. Only via the combo CoreELEC + Kodi Netflix Addon can 1080p be achieved at this times on Beelink devices. Who wants an easier or more guaranteed method of viewing Netflix at FHD or UHD+? Better seeks officially certified media players or grab a TV with one inbuilt.
