Hello,

We're using fertigation system. Currently we have around 7000 plants on 1.8 acres of land. Our previous planting we had 10k plants on 1.8 acres. We harvested for 2.5 months, we got round 2.5 kg per plant during that duration. That was only the first cycle. You can harvest for up to 9 months if your plants are healthy. However, we had virus issue and we replanted. 4-5 kg per plant 2-3 cycles is not a problem.

Ahh you have access to free water source. I don't have that kind of luxury as I'm converting my dad's workshop located in town area for aquaculture.

I'm not gonna use pure oxygen injection as it add up to the opex. I'll probably use a counter flow co2 stripper, if oxygen level is an issue later on, I'll just simply add throw in few o2 reactor power by air pump to further increase the dissolve oxygen.

Actually I'm still new on ras there's still a lot to learn, just started to research on this few month ago. smile.gif
BTW I'm had a full time job at KL, my aquaculture proof of concept project will be located at N9.

U got underground water? if you doesnt wanna do that , you should have a drum filter, bio filters are more appropriate for low density aquarium fish.

12ac :-
Finish planting the below

Hi guys. Just found this place. Any ideas on how to start home-shrimp -farming ?

I remember reading it in the newspaper some time ago (maybe in 2015) that featured some homes in malaysia doing it, but can't find anything online.

I have done some study on fertigation system and bought a mini set installed behind my yard. Result was pretty good, harvested nice rock melon's; however it is not as sweet as expected. I am still trying, hopefully my second round will be more sweet. Some photos for sharing...

Hi guys,

been thinking to venture into cocoa plantation.

any of you guys have experience or thoughts to share?

my only concern so far is hiring labour and finding buyers. so far, the production of cocoa in malaysia has been dropping, was wondering if it's due to the plant fragility or labor intensive?

can advise?

Well, first you might not want to directly jump into plantation...
plant on a small scale first.... i've jumped into many many fruits/plants etc before and at the end of the day, i went back to my first and basic darling banana planting...

it's not about price good or not as price depends on supply & demand... all commercial commodities are facing price drop and it is a good idea to start planting..

what ever it is, plant small scale so that you can learn the tricks and trade so to prepare yourself for bigger challenges... biggrin.gif
