Bringing to court is just an avenue seeking for justice. Nothing concluded till then. Also, it looks to be isolated case.

Some ppl just like to escalate up things and made all sorts of complaints. Usually these type of ppl love to group together and making friends one another.

And a lot of freehold resident in KK , sold their FH house and move to LH house here.

Nothing new, land settlement issue.

Its an open secret that Rimbayu, Tropicana Aman, and even EcoSanctuary effected. (photos being ciruclated around, buyers crashing the previous MB townhall meeting etc)

However, it seems the engagement by the Eco side is much better hence their buyers made less of a fuss. Dont ask me what did Eco do to placate the buyers, I'm not privy to the details.

Under this kind of market situation, I think quite hard to launch for another high rise development in this area.......

It could be EW want to fast fast to monetise their land bank here, as the longer they holding these land bank the higher costs they incur, especially in the future, nobody can have predict what will happen to the property market in the long run.

A lot of them equally regret and would gave up for a return if only they could.

A LH sold at premium price does not attract young growing family that are seeing better life in relatively near future. It just does not have the bank value to propel the next jump.

Regarding your question, Elmina vs Eco Santuary etc.
One is Klang Valley north, the other is Klang Valley south. One is Sime Darby branding, the other is Eco World brand. If you visit and compare both developments , you can see and feel some differences in the home architecture and environments. Every buyers are entitled to their own preference and tastes. I am aware that a lot of ES buyers are attracted with the EcoWorld branding, the ES modern/contemporary/Cubism home architecture, the resort-like facilities and the close proximity to at least 3 international schools for their kids. Eco Sanctuary is marketed as a luxury home. I believe most ES buyers are successful in their own way as these are expensive homes and they can afford it. Some may buy the ES home to show off their wealth and make a statement of the lifestyle they have. e.g. Grandezza Altimo super bungalow etc.

Regarding LH vs FH.
This topic has been discussed so many times. I am sure many of these smart, successful and wealthy ES home buyers thought well about this factor.
There are more factors that need to be taken into considerations when buying a home other than the LH vs FH factor. Obviously freehold is nice to have but other factors like affordability, neighbourhood/environment and location are more important.
As the price of homes become increasingly expensive, the determining factor of whether a property is worth buying may no longer weigh solely on its LH vs FH tenure status. This may be especially true for first-time homebuyers, where affordability is the first hurdle to tackle when buying a home.
Given the demand for freehold properties, the supply may be limited and could even reach a point in time when buyers may not have much of a choice. By then, the factor of freehold or leasehold could even be rendered meaningless.
To put it simply, of course, it is better to buy freehold over leasehold properties (given that all other factors of locations, price, type, size etc.) but it is not the only or most important factor nowadays. In the end, it depends on individual buyers on whether it is worth compromising on freehold status for other factors like affordability ,environment and location.
Besides that, residents of Selangor will be able to renew land leases under the Private Residential Ownership Scheme at an affordable token premium of just RM1,000, instead of the current market rate, provided they remain on the property. For folks that plan to remain in the property in a long term or pass on to their kids. It is a non-issue.

All things being equal of course FH would trump LH, but all things are never equal ...

I'm sure these million dollar house buyers have their own consideration and requirements and does not need us Forum Heroes to dictate to them which they should choose.

Of course the affordable level & spending level are different. They would need jaya grocer/mercearia in search of salmon instead of pasar/hero market in search of spinach.
